Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4, All new open kitchen, renovated baths

This wonderful, large apartment was recently renovated. The kitchen is open to the living room/dining area and has all new appliances, the counter is a special stone that looks like beach stones. The bathrooms have been redone and have tiled stall showers with glass enclosures and kohler fixtures. The floors are a stained black wood. It's airy and light, with windows everywhere and exposures from every direction, including the wall of windows in the living room looking toward the Harbor and fishing boats. The apartment is only a block and a half from the high-speed ferry and set back 100 feet from Commercial Street, down a quaint red brick path (parking for one car is in the back of the building off Center Street. The apartment has a washer dryer and air conditioning in the bedrooms but with the breeze off the water, you may not need it.

THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. This is the Owner's home and in a quiet building, please do not plan a large gathering.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We were very happy to have found this gem of a condo! We have rented places in the cape for years, never have we been as happy as we were here! Our idea of "great location" "great condition" have never matched what has been advertised. This place exceeded our expectations. The work that was done is all quality. High end materials and quality craftsmanship. Bathrooms are beautifully done, love the dark wood floors, kitchen is large with quality appliances& cabinetry, a pleasure to work in. The décor has just the right amount of funk! We loved ,loved, loved it. Great deck, loved the views. It was so fun to walk out the door, go down out little brick walk and be in the heart of everything. We never got in the car the whole time we were there. We thought we would hear noise being in town, but it was not an issue. Peaceful. We found George's pizza across from the Town Hall- great late night slice! We enjoyed our dinners at Sal's Place and Front St. Both had excellent service and fab food. Meg was helpful, pleasant, and easy to work with. We will call on her services again for sure. We will rent this condo every chance we can! We highly recommend as stay here. Great find! Thanks! Laurel Hannum & Owen Roberts, Albany, NY

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

The place is well-located, bright, spacious and attractively decorated. Beds are comfortable, baths are very nice and the kitchen is great. The deck and the view make this place first-rate. We had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful location, beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place! It's charming, classy, and has great views. The kitchen was fabulous and having two bathrooms was wonderful! The location can't be beat. Right off Commercial Street, but tucked back. You are steps away from shops and restaurants but you also feel like you're at private hideaway. Meg was a breeze to work with. We're already thinking about our next stay!

Perfect place for a week in Ptown

  • 5 of 5

We rented this condo for a week for 3 people in August, and were not disappointed... it was fab! It's extremely quiet, recessed back from commercial street along a path, and near the ferry dock, so hauling your luggage there is a breeze. The pictures really don't do it justice... the place is immaculate - fantastic kitchen (there's a bar fridge, a regular fridge, AND a pull out drawer fridge and freezer.. all these are below the beautiful countertop; big gas oven, tons of plates, cups, pans, utensils... and yes that dishwasher came in handy!). The countertop is gorgeous, but we were a little worried as it picks up water stains easily, but hey we just used coasters for our drinks, and wiped things up pronto. The main room is open concept into the kitchen (beautiful!) which you don't get to see from the pictures, with a big ceiling fan in the living room, and while there is another floor above our unit, we heard nothing. The furnishings are very retro minimal 60's , they look great, but it's not one of those big overstuffed sofas to flop on. We loved the outside deck, very comfortable with lounges and chairs... you can't bbq there, but we had friends over for an evening on the deck, and they kept on telling us that we REALLY lucked out on our place. The 2 bathrooms are stunning - very clean, all new fixtures, both have showers, and the bedrooms had very comfy beds - no squeaks & air conditioned. We think it would be helpful to renters to have a pic on HomeAway of the bedrooms, as they are lovely.

For us the only cons were keeping the kitchen counter clean, and no bbq. The obvious pluses are the kitchen, nice bedrooms, modern bathrooms, outside deck, location, no noise, and the place has a modern comfortable charm. We liked that there was a small desk for our laptop, and I used the apple power chord that was left behind for my iMac.

If you're looking for a place that is modern, attractive, very clean, well stocked in the kitchen (and throughout the place!), nice deck... I'd highly recommend this place. It was great to stay at a place that has been put so well together, and we made the effort to take good care of it. We booked last minute (about two months before), and when we walked in the door, we were instantly very happy with the place... there were a lot of "Whew!!!! It's very nice!".

Also Meg from Dwell Coastal (just two blocks away) was incredibly easy to deal with (sincere thanks Meg!!). We'll plan on staying here again.

Love this Place!

  • 5 of 5

This condo is terrific in every conceivable way. My wife and I spent a week there at the end of August with our two daughters (17 and 21.) Despite lousy weather much of the time, we had a wonderful vacation, and the condo was largely responsible! First, it's real roomy, with gorgeous views of the town and harbor. Plus, it's very comfortably furnished. All this made it quite easy to enjoy the condo during all the rain! Secondly, when the weather was nice, we took the dreamy garden path right to the center of town, only about a hundred feet away. So, while the condo seemed so secluded, we were really close to all the action when we wanted it. Third, back to the unit, it was extremely well-stocked; had everything we wanted, and also a really cool telescope and use of the owner's MAC. And the deck -- where we enjoyed martinis in the evening -- is huge and well-furnished. Fourth, the owner's: they are great! So helpful, organized, accurate, friendly, and readily available, when needed. We loved this place!
