Fantastic apartment!

Having stayed in many different apartments in Playa Canteras over many years this was by far the best. We sacrificed being on the front line for this apartment and benefited from being able to enjoy sun both on the roof terrace and on the beach less than 5 minutes away.

The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped. It is centrally located close to the bus station, supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay so much we immediately re-booked it for our next visit.

Sentralt og med flott takterasse. OK standard for to par, men litt er på halv tolv på spansk vis.

Elendig informasjon fra utleier om ankomst/avreise og bruk. Bare muntlig og på spansk. Internett fungerte aldri. Men i en flott ferieby som Las Palmas glemmer man lett irritasjonsmomentene.

Zentrale Lage, gute Auststattung, aber ...

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Man geht 10 Minuten zur Promenade, zum Hafen oder Busbahnhof (mit guten Anschlüssen innerhalb der Stadt und der ganzen Insel). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (auch Lebensmittel) und Restaurants gibt es reichlich. Die zentrale Lage hat aber auch Nachteile: Es ist bis ca. 01:00 Uhr mit mehr oder minder lauten Geräuschen zu rechnen, und morgens um 07:00 geht es dann schon weiter mit der Straßenreinigung. Es hat nicht wirklich gestört, aber ruhig ist es nicht.

Aus der Beschreibung geht nicht hervor, dass der Zugang zur Dachterrasse eine Treppe direkt in der Wohnung ist und dass es dort noch einen großen Raum mit Tisch und Stühlen, sowie Waschmaschine und Kühlschrank gibt, der große Glas-Schiebetüren hat. Wir haben dort die meiste Zeit verbracht, die wir nicht unterwegs waren oder geschlafen haben. Insbesonderen haben wir dort das Frühstück und Abendessen eingenommen. Etwas seltsam war, dass es dort auch ein Waschbecken und eine Toilette gab, die optisch hinter einem freistehenden Raumteiler verborgen war. Auf der Terrasse gab es auch eine Dusche.

Die Betten sind "Queen size"-Doppelbetten, d.h. für deutsche Verhältnisse sehr schmal. Wir haben deshalb auch mit zwei Personen beide Schlafzimmer benutzt.

Die Ausstattung der Küche lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig, wer will, kann durch aus auch selbst kochen, was wir bei einem längeren Aufenthalt auch machen würden. Es gibt einen Umkehrosmose-Filter, der das Leitungswasser trinkbar macht.

Generell ist die Wohnung nicht mehr im Top-Zustand. Einige der Energiesparlampen im Obergeschoß sind kaputt bzw. brauchten aus irgendwelchen Gründen 5 Minuten, bis sie angingen. Bei einer der Türen des Spiegelschranks im Bad ging nach einer Woche die Verklebung des Scharniers ab (das wurde anscheinend schon mehrfach geflickt, aber nicht anständig). Eine der beiden Markisen auf der Dachterrasse hing nur noch in Fetzen von der Halterung. Die Armaturen der Dusche waren dermaßen locker, dass man am Anfang Angst hatte, sie benutzen. Auch gab es im Bad und im Obergeschoß Ameisen. Es war keine große Plage, aber man durfte nichts süßes (z.B. Obst) stehen lassen. Wir hatten einmal starken Regen, bei dem sich zeigte, dass das Dach undicht war. Es tropfte ausgerechnet auf die Treppe, die dadurch rutschig wurde.

Wir wurden von einer Dame empfangen, deren Englischkenntnisse eher schlecht waren und die uns kaum eine Einweisung geben konnte.

Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen.

Schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage

Zentrale Lage zum Strand, zu Geschäften, Hafen und Busbahnhof. Das Haus befindet sich in einer Fußgängerzone. Nachts in teilweise etwas lauterer Umgebung.

Die Küche verfügt auch über eine Spülmaschine.

A nice flat in a very central area

We enjoyed staying in this flat and would come back. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine. Very practical. The washing machine does hardly spin your load mind you - maybe a Southern European thing with the warm weather. But still convenient. The landlord lives next door. You need to know that there is no door phone (intercom) and a "gate". The first time you arrive you call the landlord on the mobile phone. The landlord is very helpful and still you have full privacy.
