2 bedroom apartment, double sofa bed, sleeps up to 6.

This is a wonderfully decorated apartment situated within a historic Scottish stone building.

The property is in the perfect location right in the centre of Edinburgh giving you a great base to explore this amazing city.

Situated on the first floor within an 18th century building, the property retains some amazing period features which gives you a true feel of history of this city. All major attractions are literally on your doorstep, including Princes street and Edinburgh Castle which are minutes away.

Arrival time is 2pm however the property manager will be as flexible as possible with prior notice. Check out time is 11am. Later check outs are subject to availability with prior arrangement.

Baggage drop facility available.

A security deposit will be required for parties over 4, single sex parties, and groups attending over special events i.e Rugby matches, new year etc.

Interior layout.

The apartment offers a large living room with breakfast bar area looking into the open kitchen, a large 3 seater sofa bed, 1 armchair and 2 breakfast bar stools.

There is a dining table with 4 seats by the large front window.

Two double bedrooms each containing 1 double bed and ample bedroom storage.

The bathroom includes bath and thermostatic shower.

For larger parties there is a double sofa bed which can accommodate an extra 2 guests.

A separate kitchen with solid oak breakfast bar looking into the living room. The kitchen comes fully equipped including fridge/freezer, oven and induction hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle.

I'm Gareth and I own and manage this gem of a holiday apartment, recently renovated in a great location I'm privileged to be able to host guests from across the world and accommodate them in Edinburgh. I love meeting new people from all walks of life and hearing their stories.

Why Gareth chose Edinburgh

I was looking to buy a city centre property in need of renovation and I came across the flat in 2011, it hadn't been maintained for atleast 25 years. I seen that it had masses of potential but it was a huge challenge...Great location and great character!

What makes this apartment unique

The property was built in 1792 when Edinburgh's 'New Town' was under construction. It still retains all the original internal doors and floorboards which I restored. Along with the exposed original stonework wall, this property has a great feel to it. Put together with the location its a stunning place to take in the city!

Great Location, Beautiful Apartment

This was our first trip to Scotland. Met Gareth in a jet-lagged condition, he was a pleasure. You can (and we did!) walk-to-all. Pubs galore, and some great dining options. If you're so inclined, you can people watch from the front windows or, retreat to the quiet bedrooms in the rear. Great stay. I'd stay here again in a flash.

Beautiful, quiet apartment in excellent location

Gareth was wonderful at communicating all the way through, and was very accommodating to allow us to drop off our luggage a little earlier than check in, so we could go explore. The apartment is an easy walk from Waverly train station. There are lots of stores and restaurants on the street, and I was concerned that it might be noisy at night, but it was very quiet and we slept very well. The apartment is very nicely decorated and supplied. It was a very smooth, easy stay. It was delightful and I wish we had stayed longer!

The Perfect Place to Stay--Really!

We recently stayed at the Rose Apartment and loved it. The location was perfect--just around the corner from nearly everything! Turn the corner and you are looking straight on at Edinburgh Castle. We were minutes walks to amazing restaurants and bars. The flat itself was amazing--parts dating back to the late 1700s, with all the charm you'd expect, but updated and styled perfectly. The bedrooms were quiet, even on a busy pedestrian street. Just what we wanted for a lovely weekend in Edinburgh. The flat was a short 5 minute walk from the Princes Tram station, which we used to go to and from the Edinburgh Airport. Gareth was very helpful, and even accommodating when our flight changed and we needed a later check-out time. We will stay again, and recommend to our friends!!!

Perfect flat in the heart of the city

The flat has all you need. The location is perfect walking distance to all major shops, restaurants and attractions. Nicely decorated and silent despite the location. Gareth is a great host easy to communicate and very helpful. Thank you

Loved this apartment!

There were two adults and three teenagers staying in this apartment for two nights. We all loved it! It was clean, charming and very tastefully decorated. We especially loved the stonework from the late 1700s! Staying on Rose St was wonderful. We parked the car and left it for the full two days and walked everywhere, including to the castle and Arthur's Seat. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Amazing apartment in an outstanding location!

Our group of my husband and I along with 2 of our grown children were lucky enough to stay at the Rose Apartment last week. Communicating with Gareth before and during our stay could not have been easier. The pictures of the apartment do not live up to the warmth, style and coziness of the real thing. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well outfitted kitchen and washroom. The bedrooms and living areas were spacious and comfortable. As we enjoyed our last few days in Scotland before heading to England, it was wonderful that we were able to do laundry in house. This allowed us to spend more time together rather than one of us being stuck in a laundromat. The location was perfect, an easy walk to where ever we wanted to go. We will return to Edinburgh and will reach out to Gareth for another stay at this lovely apartment.
