This is a wonderfully decorated apartment situated within a historic Scottish stone building.

The property is in the perfect location right in the centre of Edinburgh giving you a great base to explore this amazing city.

Situated on the first floor within an 18th century building, the property retains some amazing period features which gives you a true feel of history of this city. All major attractions are literally on your doorstep, including Princes street and Edinburgh Castle which are minutes away.

Arrival time is 2pm however the property manager will be as flexible as possible with prior notice. Check out time is 11am. Later check outs are subject to availability with prior arrangement.

Baggage drop facility available.

A security deposit will be required for parties over 4, single sex parties, and groups attending over special events i.e Rugby matches, new year etc.

Interior layout.

The apartment offers a large living room with breakfast bar area looking into the open kitchen, a large 3 seater sofa bed, 1 armchair and 2 breakfast bar stools.

There is a dining table with 4 seats by the large front window.

Two double bedrooms each containing 1 double bed and ample bedroom storage.

The bathroom includes bath and thermostatic shower.

For larger parties there is a double sofa bed which can accommodate an extra 2 guests.

A separate kitchen with solid oak breakfast bar looking into the living room. The kitchen comes fully equipped including fridge/freezer, oven and induction hob, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle.

I'm Gareth and I own and manage this gem of a holiday apartment, recently renovated in a great location I'm privileged to be able to host guests from across the world and accommodate them in Edinburgh. I love meeting new people from all walks of life and hearing their stories.

Why Gareth chose New Town

I was looking to buy a city centre property in need of renovation and I came across the flat in 2011, it hadn't been maintained for atleast 25 years. I seen that it had masses of potential but it was a huge challenge...Great location and great character!

What makes this apartment unique

The property was built in 1792 when Edinburgh's 'New Town' was under construction. It still retains all the original internal doors and floorboards which I restored. Along with the exposed original stonework wall, this property has a great feel to it. Put together with the location its a stunning place to take in the city!

Location Location Location

Pertfectly situated apartment that was cozy and comfortable. We were a family of four (two teenagers). Without a car, we were able to easily walk to the most of the sightseeing areas - the city observatory, High Street and the Castle, Grassmarket. Gareth helped ease our arrival in sending over useful travel information. There were a number of small things that made the stay nice - the artwork, the bread and shortbread, the soap, the extra blankets. A nice apartment in a great location.

Perfect flat. Perfect location

Well appointed flat in a convenient and central location. Decor was tasteful, bathroom very modern, bedrooms good size doubles. Gareth was an excellent communicator and the whole check in and check out process was clear and straightforward. We appreciated the milk in the fridge on arrival and the general stuff like sugar and salt already being in the cupboard. All in all an excellent experience.

Fabulous stay

We were beyond happy with our stay at this lovely flat! Gareth made us very welcome and showed us around. The flat is beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and charming with its original wooden floors and doors. The area was was very central and we were able to walk everywhere. There were many shops and cafes on the street below. Food markets for groceries were not far away. The apartment was well equipped. It was lovely to have a washing machine! On the odd occasion when Rose Street was lively the back bedrooms were very quiet. We highly recommend this flat.

Perfect Edinburgh stay

Perfect 2 bedroom Edinburgh stay. The location is amazing: right on Rose Street, one minute to Princes Street and shopping, five minutes to Royal Mile and all of the attractions. The apartment itself was well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. To top it all off, the owner is incredibly responsive to any question. Just a great place.
