Wish the Manager had been notified of our reservation
The manager was super nice but he had no idea we had a reservation so the beds were not made and the dirty linens were still sitting in piles on the beds. He apologized profusely and took care of them right away which we did appreciate. The cabin serviced its purpose though there is a reason no kitchen pics are posted. It needs to be redone and it is the first thing you see when you open the door. Waiting on my damage deposit return as we left it in better shape than we found it.
Kitchen needs updating but works fine. No A/C but lots of fans.
If fancy pants is your style , you are out of luck, but clean quiet and friendly ,they are ! Great
If you want to get out of the hub Bub of life in the fast lane , you have found your spot . We started of fishing switched to a base camp for daytrips , all to return early to enjoy a fire with the owners/other guests or alone. After I do some callendar work , I’ll be booking next year .
Spacious cabin, rustic and relaxing! Felt completely at home-kids had a blast!
Our host family-Tony, Nicole, Jenny and their amazing German Shepard Morgan were fabulous and engaging! They could not have been more accommodating! They clearly enjoy sharing their little paradise! The property is gorgeous and sprawling and we were welcome to enjoy all of it. They had multiple boats-kayak, paddle boat, row boat etc for us to enjoy with a private little dock. There are many places to sit along the beach and enjoy the gorgeous view or take a walk, play on the water! They also provided a ton of free firewood (tips accepted;) which we sadly did not take advantage of. We were pretty tired and just needed a place to relax and shower in the middle of our big camping journey. Kitchen was tight but functional and well equipped in which we prepared a large meal for a large crew. That evening, they invited us to their fire pit next door but we were wiped out and enjoyed one of their many old school VHS movies on their small TV-it was awesome;) Plenty of room for all of us.The price was super cheap for our big crowd and the setting reminded us of wonderful lakefront vacations we've had in Minnesota. WiFi is also available but didn't work on our Apple phones but that took nothing away from our experience as we wanted our kids off screens anyway to play with us and enjoy the beauty of the place. It has a retro-forgotten era vibe which we loved! This sweet family is restoring the cabins with recovered wood and Tony's skill is evident throughout. Everything was also very clean and well maintained. We would love to return to this little haven and enjoy a peaceful, quiet waterfront week again! Thank you, Tony and Nicole!
Perfect getaway from it all!
We loved it here and hope to return some day. The owners were great and very accommodating. We had a blast on the boat and just hanging out at the lake. We will definitely recommend this to everyone we know!
We are happy to hear you all had a great time. Yes.....please come back in the future :)
Memorial Day weekend family trip
Hosts were very friendly and accommodating! We would give them a 5 star rating. Cabin was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Beds were comfortable. The lake and view are peaceful. Kids loved using the paddle boats and kayaks. Sunsets were gorgeous as we sat by our fire pit! Cabin is older and kitchen is functional but small and older appliances. It had a window unit air conditioner and with fans it felt comfortable even with 90 degree weather! We are considering returning there next year. Bathroom is good sized but shower is small. Overall a nice place to get away from all the busy-ness of life.
