SALEMA VILLA - OCEANVIEW - PRIVATE POOL - AIR CON - WIFI

Casa Caravela (180 m2) is a recently (2020) completely renovated and refurbished charming split level villa on a huge plot (1400 m2) with a separate garden studio. The villa is located on the hillside close to beach (Praia da Salema) and Salema centre. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac and privately gated. Enjoy sunsets and oceanviews from the elevated South facing terrace and walk to the beach and restaurants.

The fully airconditioned villa is tastefully furnished and has ample poolside and terrace furniture. It is surrounded by a private driveway and a luscious tropical garden with a perfectly manicured lawn and gently swaying palm trees. Free WiFI and satellite tv are available.

Each of the three spacious double bedrooms on the lower floor has direct access to the secluded private pool (4 metres by 8 metres while depth varies from 0.9 up to 1.8 metres). One of the bedrooms has a lounge bench which can be turned into a third bed. The master bedroom contains an en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet. The second bathroom, a separate toilet and built-in closets are also located on this floor.

Upstairs there is a large fully fitted kitchen separated from the open plan ocean view lounge & dining room which contains a fireplace, marble floor and adjacent spacious terraces overlooking the sea. A third toilet and the cloakroom are located on this floor as well.

There are three terraces in total: one at pool and garden level with built-in BBQ, the other larger terrace overlooking the pool with stunning views of the ocean is ideal for sunbathing and al fresco dining and the third a cozy one next to the dining area for relaxing on the windy days. Behind the villa there is a spacious back garden and parking space.

There is a brand-new separate garden studio in the back of the property. It has two bedrooms which are separated by a bathroom with shower and toilet. The first bedroom has a double or king bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed which sleeps two persons.

Salema's wide sandy Blue Flag beach offers safe bathing where beach loungers with umbrellas and cabanas can be hired and a massage can be enjoyed. In the village there are small supermarkets and there are several fantastic local restaurants and bars within walking distance of the villa.

Lovely location

The villa is in a lovely location with a beautiful sea view from the upstairs balcony. It is well appointed and the owners are responsive and helpful. We spent a lovely week reacquainting ourselves with the beach and resturants in gorgeous Salema. Cleanliness great inside but outside around the pool was a bit neglected. We also had more than a few niggles to chase which meant the stay wasn't as relaxing as it could have been.

Perfect spot on the Algarve

The villa is exactly as described and Hans and Wil are certainly premier hosts. They were helpful at the time of the booking and with enquiries about aspects of the house and location in the weeks before. There were a couple of small niggles while we were there but again all handled very promptly. The villa has the most perfect view of the sea and, with its location, has all day sunshine. It’s in a very quiet street. The layout of the house is super and easily enjoyed by all ages. Salema is picture perfect with a good choice of restaurants and bars and a fabulous beach. It truly is the perfect spot for those wanting to get away and enjoy the picturesque (and slightly less touristy) SW Algarve.

Great villa for a family group.

Lovely home and great location

The property is exactly as shown on the listing and the indoor and outdoor spaces worked really well for the four of us. Salema beach is a gorgeous sandy beach. We enjoyed drinks at Atlantico, had great food at A Boia for breakfast and dinner and a fabulous dinner at Em Lume Brando. We did not want to leave the house when time came to go and would definitely like to come back. Thank you Hans and Wil for allowing us to share your place.
