This Penthouse apartment, which we call Upper Deck, sits on the top two floors of Granville Marina and has a beautiful sun terrace where you can have breakfast and watch the beach slowly come to life with people out jogging and dog-walkers.
There are three bedrooms, two of them with ensuite bathrooms, and one bedroom which sits on the top level. This does not have its own bathroom, but with a little understanding and sharing this aspect of the apartment can be forgiven. There is however, a third WC which is situated off the living room.
The kitchen very well-equipped and is enormous, housing the dining table and chairs and providing you with a great place to hang out and cook followed by a nice meal for everyone.
The only problem here is that you will never want to leave it. But step outside and hit the beach. It's on your doorstep.
You are moments away from the beach in the well-apppointed, beautiful building. Come out of your apartment door, head out of the building, literally a few steps and you are on the beach. Each apartment has sea views, beautifully furnished and huge windows allowing the daylight in to your apartment.
The building is grand and quite imposing on the seafront, and a short stroll from the harbour. Taking in the boats in the glorious marina whilst having your lunch or a morning coffee is a short stroll away from Granville Marina.
Ramsgate is gorgeous seaside town with the only Royal Harbour in the UK, a high speed train from London St Pancreas (1hr 17mins) and an international airport which connects you with Schipol, Holland. You will find the most amazing beach walks, lined with white cliffs and south facing. Foodies will love the range of eateries offered in both Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Margate. The Old Town in Margate offers great shopping for vintage lovers and the new Turner Gallery is a haven for lovers of art and culture. If you are travelling with children, a trip to this area is not complete without seeing the Museum in Quex Park.
This property is good for those who want to be as close to the sea as possible. Whether you want to watch the sea glistening under the sun's glare or you want to take it in as it rises from low to high tide, running through various states of volatility and excitement. The sea is a beautiful spectacle to regard.
This building is perfect for travelling couples coming down to this corner of the world as a group of couples, a family of six, 2 people or even someone travelling alone. The building's apartment are arranged such that most parties' accommodation requirements can be met.

This property has the added benefit of parking. There is a private car park available for the use of the guests and this is a major plus in a town where parking can be tricky.
Deposits are non-refundable and represent 30% of the booking. If your arrival date is more than 8 weeks away we will ask for a 30% deposit and then the balance payment 8 weeks before your arrival. Once the balance has been paid you are liable for the entire cost of your stay in the property. If you cancel within the 8 week period we will endeavour to re-let the property. However, if we cannot re-let the property you remain liable for the entire cost of your stay. If re-let, you will be refunded 70% of the total cost. Security deposits are a £250 pre authorisation, this is a shadow on your card in case of any damage is incurred to the property. If damage is caused to the property, you will be informed of the damage and the cost and your card will be charge to cover the cost of the damage.
What a beautiful apartment, spacious well furnished, comfortable and relaxing. The views were fabulous, especially for watching the stormy seas in February. We would definitely stay again.
The apartment is located right on the sea front and within walking distance of Ramsgate harbour. Even though everything is new and spacious, there are indications that it is not well maintained-- the living room carpet had areas that smelled of animal urine, the living room bathroom smelled of sewage (we kept that door closed and the fan on throughout our entire stay), and the tumble dryer didn't work. Maybe for a summertime holiday when you're spending all your time on the beach it would be fine, but for a winter visit it was problematic.
what a spot, and parking alongside too! The Upper Deck is huge and very comfortable, heating very responsive, and all furnishings in good order, clean, and good quality too. A couple of maintenance issues, but still far fewer than on our TODO list at home .... in all this is a lovely holiday apartment! The sound of the breaking waves was very calming and soporific, we certainly noticed their absence when we returned home.
It's a great spot for walks and bike rides along the Viking Way, and good for taking the dog on the beach (check tides for walks along shore to Broadstairs). Check out tides4fishing for good info on tide times AND how high or low the tide will be... Some excellent coffee shops around the harbour -free parking on the east pier. Ramsgate at last seems to be on the up. Fantastic architecture with evocative names (Spencer square, Liverpool Lawn, Plains of Waterloo, all hidden away around some lovely Georgian Crescents generally being restored) though some still obscured by tatty commercial hoardings, but with loads of small alleyways to intrigue. -eg: Screaming Alley by St Augustine's Abbey.
We had an excellent celebratory lunch at The Albion (where you pick up the keys), and enjoyed our trip to the Turner gallery - pity Ramsgate doesn't make more of its links with artists e.g. Van Gogh Hogarth etc. Will look forward to a return trip. Many thanks to the owners!
We had a lovely week here, the apartment is light and spacious and the outside dining area was fabulous - a nice touch would be to have a BBQ. It wouldn't take much to make this a five star property as in removing the scuff marks on the walls, repairing the gouges in the kitchen flooring, the en-suite bathroom flooring to the master bedroom has blown and the shower holder in this room is inadequate. There does seem to be a drain smell coming from the toilet off the lounge and main bedroom en-suite due to inadequate drainage - however I am being picky - none of these points would stop me renting this apartment again - lovely stay

Only downfall and easily rectified is the few stains on the carpet and marks on the living room walls
Having a couple of friends back that we haven't seen for a long time for drinks leads to complaints and phone calls the next day telling us we was being to loud, if you are looking for a apartment to have drinks with friends till late on at night then I wouldn't recommend this apartment but other than that the apartment is great with stunning views
This lovely property is a well appointed gem nestled next to a scenic beach. You will set on the leather sofa and look out on the ocean that seems so close you will think you're on a cruise. Great local dining and markets sand easy access to Dover, Canterbury, and other points of interest. Looking forward to a return visit!
This beautiful property is situated on Ramsgate Sands, just steps from the beach, this really is a one off location. With the doors open you can listen to the sound of the sea, proven to help you relax and even sleep better!
Thanet is renowned for the quality of its beaches, and Ramsgate has some of the best in the area. Ramsgate Main Sands, situated a stone’s throw from the Royal Harbour, has been awarded a Blue Flag – a tribute to the cleanliness of its water, its safety record and its range of facilities. Hire out a deckchair and dig your toes into the soft sand.
On the seafront you will find Ramsgate Marina and the Royal Harbour. The area, surrounded by stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture, is a hive of activity.
After all this activity, sit back and embrace Ramsgate’s café culture. Relax in one of the sea-facing cafés or restaurants, watching the boats come and go in the marina and admiring the skies that J.M.W Turner described as the loveliest in all of Europe.

Royal Cinque Ports:
Nearby Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club offers the ultimate test of links golf. It is notorious for its large sand dunes, 66 bunkers and forceful wind which will make the back nine a real test of character.
Historic Prince’s Golf Club completes the triumvirate. The more affordable option, it is always in pristine condition and teems with humps and bumps, thick rough and head-high bunkers.
