Beautifully located south facing reformed ,120 year old finca with fabulous open views all round. Also a good wedding and private function venue close to Javea. Bright and airy rooms with tall ceilings. marble floors and original tosca stone features .Very private with enormous open naya leading to pool terrace/BBQ and flat lawn play area- great for rounders and football. Lovely big trampoline. Walk out the gate to the campo / countryside and surrounding orange groves and vineyards. Lovely walks and safe for children to explore. The local farming community is friendly and the area is popular with cyclists and locals taking a walk . In the garden there is a chicken area, with 3 friendly chickens, and fruit trees.Trampoline with safety net in garden .

The naya provides shade in the summer and warm sun in the winter (when it is a sun-trap.).The main door leads to the modern fully equipped kitchen and utility room . Also large opening windows from the naya lead to open plan lounge-diner . Downstairs are 2 bedrooms both with double beds . Built in wardrobe and bathrooms.

Upstairs main bedroom suite with dressing room and luxury spa style bathroom, beautiful views, walk onto large terrace with panoramic views right to the sea .The second twin bedded room has spacious en suite with walk in shower. The large connecting corridor allows for 2 extra single beds ideal for children. ( bedroom 5 you could call it ) Cot /highchair available

This eco-house has a solar system (and a heat pump) which supplies hot water and underfloor heating in winter.

The pool is heated by the solar system for a long swimming season. There is a solar pool shower . Large attractive BBQ and shade on the terrace.

Why Gary chose Gata de Gorgos

The current owners bought and renovated this country farmhouse from 2004 because they wanted to live in the campo but still close by all amenities.This is a very quiet location but with easy access to plenty going on around . It is close to the main highway to get to places like Benidorm and Ondara shopping and cinema centre., and many other attractions within 30m to 1 hr drive away. You can walk out directly into beautiful countryside, with the backdrop of Montgo mountain. There are chickens and a fruit garden of oranges apples, pears , peach , figs.

What makes this farmhouse unique

This house was originally an old farm house over 100 years old with a hay loft ( the second upstairs bedroom ) and cattle keep in the courtyard and 2 wells . An eco house with 2 wells and solar panels, underfloor heating, backed up in winter with a wood burner; great for winter lets for a very spacious house with low costs. Solar pool heating to extend the swimming season.

There is a filter system for drinking water and a solar shower for after swimming.

A good area for cycling , and walking - a great time to take a walk is on light spring and summer evenings.

They are as yet being prepared to a high standard.

This is a good location for a wedding. The surrounding area is beautiful with all round views, the naya and terraces are very spacious, and the lawns is a vast area. We can send you photos to illustrate if interested. The neighbours are distant , there is a good parking area and space for more parking not far from the Finca. Wedding organiser Celebrant- Lynda Gibson Celebrant on FB / also photographers Wedding caterers we know are 1. specialist in argentinian bbq and roasts. 2.Victoria Putt Gillin - caterer on facebook 3.Costa Blanca Hogs and Catering - Peter Read - also on facebook 4.Catering Costa Blanca- also on facebook/ web There will be restaurants in Javea that would do Paellas as well e.g El Paso, La Mezguida, Club de Tenis are some ideas of places that cater a lot of Paella

Beautiful Holiday at Finca de la Rana!

In October 2017 we had a 10-days holiday at Finca de la Rana, which was very beautiful! With two families, 4 adults and 3 kids aged 6 to 9, we very much enjoyed our stay. The Finca is exactly as it is announced. Everything was in good condition, very clean and well maintained. We had all meals at the roofed terrace and used the outdoor kitchen. The kids loved to swim and play in the pool. There was plenty of equipment like air beds, snorkels etc and additional toys inside the Finca. The kitchen was very well-equipped, too. We really missed nothing. Every morning the kids fed the chicken and got the eggs as well as oranges fresh from the trees and peppermint for the tea.

During our holiday Gary came around every couple of days to check if everything is alright and to answer any questions. He made us a very warm welcome and dropped off some spanish pizzas twice and sweets for the kids.

We made different trips to the towns and strands nearby. The Finca is very well settled for day trips. Benidorm was the furthest town we visited and was reachable within a 40-minute drive. The landscape at Costa Blanca is very beautiful.

We are very grateful that we found this Finca and will come back in the near future. Karen and Gary, thanks very much for this pleasant holiday!

We had a superb holiday at the villa , this was our second visit and we love it so much we are already planning our third. It is so lovely to have the free range chickens here , they are very cute. Karen and Gary are always on hand for any questions and advice . This villa is perfect , I couldn't recommend it more highly .

Fantastic Family Holiday in a Fabulous Finca

The description of the finca was accurate. It had all the facilities that you would need and more for a large family holidaying together. Lots of toys and inflatables for the adults and the children.

The finca was very clean and well maintained. Gary the owner popped around every couple of days to check the pool and to make sure we were ok and had everything that we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. We all loved the surrounding areas and the local town which was a 20 minutes walk away. We would certainly recommend this property to our friends. Thanks Karen and Gary for a fantastic fortnight.

The family holiday!

On behalf of all the family can I start with saying THANK YOU! We have had an amazing holiday to celebrate my dads 60th and the memories will last a life time.

The Villa itself is set in a stunning location. It was well equipped for all our needs and more. The outside space was amazing, the pool, seating area, table tennis and huge garden and the chickens :) my nephews loved the two chickens!

It's a 10 minute drive to the beautiful town of Xabia. Stunning sandy beach which we all enjoyed, amazing restaurants and cocktails!

From day one of booking I have had regular contact with Karen who was very prompt in responding to our many questions. On our drive to the villa after our flight we got a little lost, I called Gary who kindly met us to take us to the Villa. Also, we came back to some fresh bread Andy cakes which was a lovely gesture. The recommendation of ordering paella from the local bar was brilliant. Amazing food! We would definitely recommend this villa and hope to return in the future.

great place for cycling holidays

After a good description from the landlord how to find the place we came across a clean and very lovely furnished Finca. For 8 people there is enough space inside and outside. The landlord turned up once to check if everything is fine and was commited to help if there were any questions. For cycling Holidays the spot is great as there are many interesting routes pretty close. Generally a car is a must in this area as the Finca is not situated that close to any village. Thanks Gary for the nice stay.

Fantastic villa in a stunning location.

We had a perfect stay at the Finca , it is so spacious, clean and modern . The pool and grounds are amazing , we especially loved feeding the pigs and chickens👍𣐠Gary & Karen were on hand for any questions we had and there was also lots of helpful local info in the villa. We will be back 😊򒠽򒨊

We are located in the Montgo valley just outside Gata de Gorgos and we are 10 minutes from the coastal resort of Javea (also known as Xabia) , a gem of a town situated on the Northern Costa Blanca.Gata de Gorgos is a quaint inland village on the banks of the river Gorgos. It is well known for its traditional craft of making good such as hats, table mats and furniture from esperto grasses, wicker and palms. It is a lovely village to visit for a browse and a coffee.

Finca de la Rana is a very peaceful, private countryside location but is within easy reach of busy towns beaches and beautiful areas for walking, cycling and visiting.

Javea's rugged coastline is indented with secluded coves and sandy beaches. These hidden caves and bays were once used by pirates and smugglers in the Middle Ages but are now used by sunbathers, snorkellers and scuba divers.

Javea is situated on the most easterly point of mainland Spain about 112 km from Valencia and 86 km from Alicante.

Javea has been voted environmentally near perfect by the World Health Organization and boasts 320 days of sunshine a year.

Javea is a small fishing village in an area declared by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest climates in the world.

Its micro climate gives 300 days a year sunshine and afternoon breezes keep temperatures comfortable.

No high rise buildings and sandy beaches make for a relaxed destination.

There are three distinct areas to Javea.

The Old Town's narrow pedestrian streets and 900 year old church give a very Spanish atmosphere with its tapas bars and restaurants.

The Port, has many al fresco restaurants and bars selling local fish and tapas overlooking the harbour entrance.

The Arenal is a gently sloping sandy beach in its own bay. Childrens play areas, pedalos, boat hire, beach volley ball and many beachside bars and restaurants serving cuisines from around the world provide everything needed for a wonderful family holiday. The beachside promenade comes alive in the evenings with colourfully lit local craft stalls

A very popular part of Javea is the Arenal's main sandy beach, perfect for bucket and spade lovers. The waters are shallow and very safe for bathers. Many of the beaches have been awarded the 'blue flag' for being particularly clean and well maintained. A host of restaurants and bars is located along the entire length of the Arenal. In the summer evenings you can enjoy visiting the many stalls that are erected on the promenade--e.g silver jewellery, local paintings, leather

It is possible to hire out windsurf and motor boats, jet skis , pedalos, canoes from Javea main beach and windsurfers on the stony shores closer to the port of javea. There are guided jet ski tours that go along the coast exploring the rocky coastline, secluded beaches and caves.... the scenery is remarkable.

The sea is generally calm and fairly flat , but when the sea gets up ,surfers appear and you can buy body boards cheaply .

Walking and cycling -there are many established walks and cycle routes. Info on these is in the villa or at tourist offices and on large maps by the beach.

Visiting other towns and markets . Each town has market day and there some interesting antique markets in Jalon and Jesus Pobre on a sunday morning.

Golf- there are 2 golf clubs nearby . La Sella, 10 minutes away is on the way to Denia at the Marriot golf resort and The Javea golf club,15 minutes away.
