Large Detached Country House Refurbished And Decorated In 2016, New Bathrooms.

Occupying a quiet, rural location, this spacious holiday property commands uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside towards the Cotswolds Hills and stands adjacent to the owners home in grounds of nearly 5 acres. The House has been refurbished and redecorated in January 2015 including new luxury bathrooms with walk in showers and underfloor heating, it is well equipped with grounds comprising extensive terracing, south-facing sitting-out areas, and exclusive use of an all-weather hard tennis court and an outdoor heated swimming pool, as well as a variety of garden games – full-size pool table, all-weather table tennis and croquet.

Perfectly placed for exploring the Cotswolds and its many delights, it is within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon. A town brimming with half-timbered buildings, there are many interesting sights associated with Shakespeare to be seen; the Holy Trinity Church, and the Bard’s last resting place, Guild Chapel, Hall’s Croft and New Place all make for interesting visits, as does Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the adjoining Swan Theatre. New Inn House is also ideal for visiting Cheltenham, and the Gustav Holst Museum, Evesham – reputedly Lady Godiva’s site of burial, and Tewkesbury. In addition to the many historic Cotswold villages and towns, the surrounding countryside is excellent terrain for walking; a climb to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacons affords marvellous views of lush green Hereford and the flat expanses of the Severn Valley. Golf 2 miles. Superb fishing on the river avon and pools. Two pubs within walking distance. Shop ½ mile.

All you could wish for and more.

The pictures you see are what you get. It felt immediately like home from home. All the amenities were perfect, with plenty of things for the kids to do. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and laid out. The lounge had plenty of room for everyone; the dining room table was enormous. The bedrooms were spacious, and the bathrooms refurbished. Outside, the garden was huge, as was the pool. Plenty of space to play. As has been mentioned before, it would be more in line with other places in which we have stayed if there had been bath towels, and the electric and heating charges were included in the price. The electricity charge was rather high. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and we hope to return.

Fantastic house brilliant facilities lovely views

This house is wonderfull, the high points are the grounds and uninterrupted views, heated swimming pool, tennis court, games room, fantastic well equipped kitchen.

We spent many happy hours at the house and in the gardens. The level of finish is luxurious and maintained to a high standard, wonderfull new bathrooms and walk in showers great water pressure, good WI FI and phone signal, Nick and Sue were great hosts friendly and helpful. Myself and my friends would recommend this house without reservation and is great value for money every thing we wanted and more.

Beautiful home ideal for families

We booked this house for a family celebration for my sisters' and nieces' birthday. Beautiful home and the facilities were excellent for large families. I do feel that the gas/electricity should be included in the price of the home . The pool and tennis court was great and the kids had fab time with the these. The surrounding area in Cotswolds is fantastic and I can highly recommend a visit to Broadway and Bourton on the Water. The kitchen facilities were great and there was everything in there what you needed. Highly recommend a visit to this home .

Good for groups, great garden beware extra charges

Wish I had been able to read the previous review before I booked! The house is in a lovely location - perfect for our family reunion! The garden is great with lots to do for young children and we even had deer visiting! However, we were not able to use the pool, as a week before their start date and it was "just being treated!" The electricity and water costs of £150 for one week seems very expensive and like the previous reviewer it took over 3 weeks before my deposit was refunded. We were literally coming from all over the world to meet up, so the fact that we had to organise our own towels was a big inconvenience and I really would have expected them to be provided in a house of that size. The house itself was large and ideal for large groups. It was great to see a pool table for the adults, but ridiculous to have to put in 20 pence every time one wanted to play! The kitchen was large and well (if chaotically) stocked and the bedrooms of a good size. I would recommend the house for it’s lovely location and wonderful garden but do not think it worth the amount charged!

Good location and size, too many extra charges

Generally the group of 9 adults and 2 children had a very nice weekend in this property. The house is in a lovely setting, and there is plenty of space inside the house for everyone. We didn't get the chance to use the swimming pool as it was not open the month we visited, but the other outside facilities were generally good, although the tennis court surface was not in good condition which meant that it was not possible to play a 'proper', competitive game which was a disappointment to some in our group. Communication before the stay was satisfactory, and during the stay we had a reply to a query within half an hour. Throughout the house there is information to assist with using appliances etc. Some of these are typed, some are handwritten, some are laminated, some aren't...although quite a small detail, updating all of these along with the tatty welcome folder would make everything neater and more professional. The main reason that I have given this review 3 stars rather than 4 is the requirement to pay extra for fuel and electricity charges. Had we had other options when booking a property for this weekend (we booked at fairly short notice so there wasn't another house of this size available), this would have put us off. No other properties that I have seen before or since ask for this, and it was impossible to leave the weekend without a sour taste in the mouth as a result. I also had to chase the return of my deposit 3 times before it was paid to me.
