Guestbook comments from the owner

We really had a wonderful time at your house!!!! We travelled a lot and went to: Lacanau, Royan, St. George, Arcachon, Bordeaux, Blaye, St. Emilion, Aubeterre sur dronne, ... there was a lot to see!! A few days of our holiday we only stay at the house enjoying the silence and still relaxing. The house is super nice. The cooking area, washing machine,...everything works fine. We were very amused to have so many antik things around us. This makes a special charme of your house! Your neighbours are very friendly and obliging.

Very positive,

We were delighted with the cottage and had a very enjoyable holiday. It was clean and well maintained with clear information provided for guests. The rooms are spacious, the bed and furnishings comfortable and the kitchen well equipped with easy access into the garden. The week we were there was a bit chilly so the log burning stove was well used and made the cottage very cosy.

We enjoyed the experience of staying in such a charming old French hamlet. The local people were very friendly, particularly our immediate neighbour, Mme Louoissier, who could not have been more helpful. Nadeau was easy to find and centrally placed in terms of the local places of interest which we visited. We would particularly recommend Aubeterre sur Dronne, St Emelion and Royan.

Fijne locatie om te vertoeven

  • 5 of 5

Aubeterre-sur-Dronne - one of the most photographed villages in France . Balconied houses in the old style adorn Aubeterre which lies on the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. A remarkable structure here is the unusual 12th century Église Monolithe hewn out of the rock under the castle. Aubeterre has a number of good restaurants and small shops and a small Sunday market. During the summer months there is music in the main square in the evenings.

There is a pleasant riverside beach at Aubeterre with good leisure facilities and canoe hire.

At the hilltop town of Brossac , there is a lovely lakeside beach with snack bars, sailing dinghies and pedaloes again with great bathing and facilities (large flume and play areas for children)

Beauvallon near Montguyon a converted sand quarry that has sandy beaches, swimming lakes, pedallos, cafes and bars
