THE GREAT ESCAPE

  • 5 of 5

I had forgotten just how beautiful the Perthshire countryside is. And Mill Cottage, located near Dunkeld is just as lush as the surrounding scenery. This barn conversion was tastefully decorated with a fine eye for detail. Beautifully renovated, the rooms were comfortable and cosy. The numerous skylights flooding the rooms with natural light gave a delightful ambience to a great week's stay.

This cottage is conveniently placed for fishing, sightseeing and hill walking but a car is essential. Aberfeldy, nearby was a great little village for all holiday essentials.

And the icing on the cake? The owners were the friendliest couple I have ever met. Great sense of fun and nothing was too much trouble.

A great holiday with fond memories.

I would definitely visit again.

Lovely cottage with really good facilities in a gorgeous and secluded location.

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. Cosy and warm, modern and bright with fabulous views from every window. We loved the huge log burner as an extra cosy heat source and focal point especially when gathered on the sofas playing board games. A big thanks to Grace for bringing us milk during the snow days. The children had such fun building snowmen and tracking the new animal prints, in the snow outside our cottage, each morning. Were they the sheep or hares we saw each day on the hillside, roe deer or the cat? As well as walks from the door there is lots to do in the surrounding areas, beautiful scenery everywhere which just adds to the pleasure of your trips out. We stayed local as visiting family in Fearnan and enjoyed walking The Birks of Aberfeldy, The Crannog on Loch Tay, The Birks cinema in Aberfeldy and the village and restaurants of Dunkeld. All no more than 30 minutes away. So many more things to do further afield and a draw full of leaflets and OS maps with ideas at the cottage to tempt you!

Lovely spacious barn conversion with fantastic hosts

  • 5 of 5

We got stuck in deep snow along the narrow driveway but the owner rushed along to help us with our bags and push the car into a safe parking space. Very helpful and accomodating. The place itself is a lovely warm barn conversion in a beautiful setting. Bery rural but only a short drive some great towns. Will be booking again in the future.

Hidden Gem 💎

  • 5 of 5

We have just left the beautiful home of Grace & family. We were all so sad to be leaving as have had the most amazing experience of both Scottish hospitality and tourist attractions. The home itself is not far from dunkeld but there are other nearby little villages for grocery shopping. We stopped outside of Perth at Aldi to stock up on fresh food. We went to deer park near aberfeldy which had small playground for free but also a local pitch and putt for the kids in the town itself.

The house itself had absolutely everything you would need for a family of five. Extremely tastefully decorated with plenty of room: comfortable beds. We got a camp bed for my littlest one so all three slept in one room. The chickens were the boys highlight and we got to have some fresh tasty free range eggs for the week. The boys even made an attempt to climb the mountain behind the house.

The weather was perfect for a day at Blair castle where my highlight was the kilted Scotsman playing amazing grace on the bagpipes. The hermitage was a fab local spot. Dunkeld itself had an amazing fish and chip shop to eat by the river.

We went to a deer park close to St. Andrews which was great value for money and the went on to st Andrews itself. Beautiful part of the world.

There are not enough words to describe how much we loved both our accommodation and the friendliness of our hosts. Thank you so very much and if we are ever thinking of returning we shall definitely rebook this accommodation.

Relaxing Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful 3BR/3BA oversized cottage was completely updated with all the conveniences of home. It was rustic on the outside but very modern inside. Grace was wonderful and supplied us with fresh eggs for breakfast. It is a short ride to Dunkeld and not fare from many things. We stayed 3 nights and visited many places. We enjoyed a warming fire each night. It was very peaceful to watch the sheep on the mountain and there is a stream on the property also. We could not have asked for more. It is the perfect place.

Lovely cottage in a wonderfully quiet location.

We had a great long weekend, The cottage is comfortable with lots of room in a beautiful rural location and Grace just couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Surrounding area is simply stunning, loch Tay was a firm favourite and Dunkeld has some great places to eat.
