Beautiful Andalusian style villa situated on the outskirts of the village of La Puebla de Cazalla, near Seville. The villa offers the perfect place to see and live the local lifestyle with churches, market, shops, tapa bars and restaurants nearby, and it is only a 40 minute drive to the historically acclaimed city of Seville. “Villa Flores” is conveniently situated in easy reach of the A92 Motorway (Autovia) running from Seville to Granada. It's an ideal location that allows visitors to sightsee many other key sites of Andalucia, including Cádiz, Ronda, Granada, Cordoba, Málaga and Huelva; a great base from which to visit the World Heritage sites of the Alhambra in Granada and the famous 8th-century mosque in Cordoba.

Inside the modern villa are 4 double sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus separate WC. The fully equipped kitchen has electric oven and hobs for cooking, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and all the utensils required. There are 2 air conditioning units providing both cool and warm air, along with standalone fans for your comfort. The indoor dining area has a pine table and 6 chair seating, this is also the case in the huge lounge area which also has an open log fire for those renting in the winter months. The property also offers a separate casita with its own separate toilet/wet room, double bed and kitchenette. The lovely outdoor private swimming pool is a perfect relief to the midday sun and is for renter’s sole use. Plenty of outdoor seating is provided to look out over the stunning Andalusian countryside and onto the villa's mature gardens with fruit and olive trees.

Why Stuart Francis chose Marchena

Villa Flores is in a fantastic spot close to the historic cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. It is in the middle of the ring of Roman settlements with the closest, Marchena, 10 mins down the road. Madrid is 2.5 hours on the fast train from Seville, that runs from the same station as the train from Marchena. Ryan Air and Easy Jet both fly into Seville. Jerez, Cadiz, Gibralter, Ronda and Malaga are all easy day trips.

"We had a fantastic two week stay in Villa Flores in the middle of August. The villa is remotely situated but in close reach of all the shops/facilities that you need. The property itself was ideal for our needs; very well kitted out with plenty of space for our party of eight four adults + four late teenagers). The outside areas are well laid out with plenty of shade and lots of room for sunbathing by the lovely pool. We particularly enjoyed eating outside on the loggia adjoining the villa. Inside, the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed; the two master bedrooms had much needed air con units and the other two have fans which just did the job! We went out for three major day trips to Alhambra, Cordoba and Sevile; all are stunning and well worth the drive. The villa is perfectly located to explore the wonderful Andalusian countryside.

We were met by Mark who was very welcoming and helpful; he sorted out a few early glitches quickly and efficiently and was always on call to help/advise us when needed. Nothing was too much trouble but we were left to get on with things for the week. I can recommend Villa Flores highly to any future clients; it is a charming, competitively priced and well resourced property in a perfect location. We had a very relaxed and happy holiday and hope to return one day."

Villa Flores also offers a renovated (2013) 'Casita´ (small house). This lovely self-contained Casita comprises, double bed, en-suite wet room/toilet, kitchenette, sofa, breakfast table and chairs. Also, an air conditioning unit has been installed for all weather comfort.

Lovely and very practical house

We had a lovely stay with a family of 12 persons. It was really a house where you can live in. Lovely pool, enough room for everybody to find his or her place without bothering eachother. All the supplies you need and a good bbq. The only downside is that one bedroom doesn't have a connection to the outdoors and was very hot and the loungechairs were a bit worn out and wouldn't always stay in upwards position. Donna was a great help and very responsive on our e-mails. WiFi worked perfect.

Brilliant Villa

Just returned from a week away in villa Flores. The villa has everything you will need to make your week away. Good size pool and garden area, we travelled as eight adults and one child and there was loads of room.

We spent most evenings outside having bbq's. Would throughly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a quiet week away from it.

Big thank you to mark who really looked after us and even came and installed more air con in the living room.

Would definately return.

Owner's Response: Large group of the perfect guests, friendly, polite and most of all respectful. Arrived on time, were very happy with our amply sized villa with well maintained gardens and pool. Using all of Villa Flores' 4 bedrooms and sofa bed, leaving all rooms in a good clean state upon departure, no problems, breakages or mess, we would be very happy to welcome Nicola and family back again in the future, thank you.

Great Location

We had a great holiday, the location was great as it was an easy journey to the major cities, Seville, Cordoba etc plus we went into the mountains to explore El Torcal ( children would love exploring there).

The villa is very well equipped and close to a really pretty traditional town and we had some great really affordable meals at La Vina, a really short drive away.

Loved the welcome pack, especially the wine, the outside space is amazing and the WiFi was brilliant working all over the villa.

Donna was there to greet us and went out of her way to make sure we had a great time........and we did! Thanks so much Donna.

Rust en ruimte

We verbleven twee weken met vier (deels vijf) personen in Villa Flores. Met ons gezelschap hadden we derhalve heel veel ruimte tot onze beschikking, zowel binnen als buiten, en dat beviel uitstekend. We hebben vooral genoten van de zitruimte op de veranda en van de mooie keuken. De ligging is zeer landelijk en rustig (5 minuten rijden van La Puebla de Cazalla). Het is een eldorado voor vogelliefhebbers. Zowel overdag als 's avonds hebben we erg genoten van alle geluiden van de natuur om ons heen. Niet eerder hoorden we hop, koekoek, uil en heel veel andere vogels gedurende één vakantie.

We hadden de eerste week pech met het weer (eind april/begin mei), zodat we pas de tweede week gebruik konden maken van het (grote!) zwembad. Die eerste week hadden we ook wat technische problemen: een breuk in de waterleiding en tot twee keer toe problemen met een van de geisers. Maar door de inzet van beheerder Mark en de tuinman kwam uiteindelijk alles in orde.

De douche bij het zwembad deed het niet, maar Mark gaf ons toegang tot de - van buitenaf bereikbare - doucheruimte van de casita. Een voortreffelijke oplossing! Aan het eind van de tweede week was er een probleem met de kwaliteit van het zwembadwater. De tuinman gooide steeds grotere hoeveelheden chemicaliën in het water, maar echt beter werd het niet.

Deze ongemakken mochten evenwel de pret niet drukken. Ons enige èchte punt van kritiek betreft het feit dat bij aankomst de villa weliswaar op het eerste gezicht schoon en opgeruimd is, maar bij nadere beschouwing blijken sommige gedeeltes toch niet heel erg schoon (stof en vuil onder meubels, in hoeken, op doucheranden e.d.; haren in het doucheputje; dode vliegen).

Er is een prima grote supermarkt in Marchena (12 minuten rijden). In La Puebla is een Cash & Carry en wat kleinere supermarkten. Goede restaurants zijn moeilijk te vinden. We stonden regelmatig voor een dichte deur (gesloten, of geen kok beschikbaar), maar misschien lag dat aan het seizoen. We aten goed bij Casa Carillo (Marchena) en bij Benitez (La Puebla). In Meson Corbones (La Puebla) genoten we vooral van de lokale sfeer.

Resumerend: een prima huis voor een fijne en rustige vakantie. Ons advies: een keer een grote schoonmaak en goed letten op de technische faciliteiten.

The local Puebla market is held every Friday morning (9.30 to 13.30) and is a must see. The indoor market in Marchena (10-15 mins drive) is open Mon-Sat and has a wide selection of fresh food. Feria de Puebla is held early September, you can also enjoy the Seville Feria in April/Easter. The house is 40 mins from Seville, 1 hour from Cordoba, 1.5 hours from Granada, and 1 hour 15 mins from Malaga and its beaches. Plenty to see and do, but also a lovely place to relax by the pool and enjoy the fantastic Andalusian weather.
