Inside the apartment…

The apartment accommodates up to 6 people and includes one king size double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, a double sofa bed in the living room, a dining table that seats 6 people, kitchen, bathroom with Italian tiles and modern sanitary fitments, (including shower, toilet and bidet), and an outside terrace with table and chairs. The kitchen includes the essentials for cooking including a refrigerator/freezer, hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, crockery and cutlery. The living area is comfortable and well equipped with sofa, coffee table and television. There are ceiling fans in all rooms. The apartment faces southeast so it is possible to sit on the terrace in the mornings and enjoy a sunny breakfast.

Outside the house…

There is a private terrace overlooking the shared gardens and pool. The shared areas include a tropical garden, a large free-form swimming pool and outdoor shower. There are sun loungers on both sun terraces and shaded terraces. There are bars, restaurants and two small supermarkets just 2 minutes walk away. The beach and sea is just 3 minutes walk away and the town 10 minutes, where there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants.

Your stay includes everything on the inventory (available on request) including bedding, house towels. Also included is laundry (of bedding & towels), electricity, gas and water. There is free WIFI available in the apartment. Please bring towels for use by the pool and on the beach.

Tropical Resort is located close to the centre of the 8km of the sandy Santa Maria beach. This beach is known for surfing. To the east, about a 25 minute walk, there is a Kite Beach, together with a wild stretch of untouched wilderness, where you can enjoy a coffee in the restaurant, kite surf, or paddle with the harmless lemon sharks if you walk a little further.

Peaceful break near a stunning beach

Clean, great communication prior to arrival, complex was quiet and set back from the beach which is good as not too windy.

Great Family Holiday

Brilliant first time to Cape Verde, we booked a self catering apartment so we could have the freedom to eat out at all the lovely restaurants. Whilst a short walk into town, the Tropical Resort was perfect for us, we enjoyed the beautiful pool and we enjoyed the beach which was only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. From our first enquiry till the end of the holiday the service and help provided was brilliant Thank you so much, we shall definitely be back.

Fun in the sun!

we have just returned from a sun drenched week at this lovely apartment with our 4 year old and 14week old. Everything went smoothly from start to finish with communication being exceptional from Philip and Roger from my initial enquiry, right through the duration of our stay. I was informed early on that a cot would not be available so planned to take a travel cot, however, the month prior to our stay Roger took a travel cot out to Sal with him specifically to accommodate us. This was a huge help as it meant we did not have to lug one around the airport with two kids! The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our self catering stay from hair dryers to bottle openers, cheese graters to clothes airers. The local shops are not what you would find in the U.K but with some adaptation and a little imagination you can still create some great meals. Eating out is easy with many resteraunts and bars within walking distance. There is nothing to do for children on the island but the gorgeous beach and the lovely pool area (which we had to ourselves on a few afternoons!) were more than enough to entertain our 4yr old for the week. We did wander in to town where there were some lovely little shops but again, for us, it was all about the beach and pool. November was a perfect time to visit as there were so few people around yet the weather was amazing! We did not go on any trips as we decided it was too much with a small baby but would have liked to have done an island tour if it was just the two of us. All in all a great, relaxing break away, even with 2 kids!

Perfect getaway

This place was perfect for a quiet holiday get away, very close to the beach and the town centre. Philip was also a great host with quick responses and very helpful information on the local area. We hope to return again in the future and would highly recommend.

Great value, relaxing and comfortable stay

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. With a great pool area. Set within a lovely, quiet apartment block, a short walk from the gorgeous Santa Maria beach, small supermarket and restaurants.

Why they chose this property

This property is ideal for those wanting a holiday in a warm climate, with the options of beach and water sports as well as more developed entertainment options close at hand. Sal has colourful towns such as Santa Maria, which has pretty squares lined with cafes. The reason we decided to invest in Tropical resort is because this development has one of the largest and nicest pools on the island; an attractive tropical garden; and is close the one of the best beaches.
