All the ingredients for a peaceful and serene getaway.

  • 5 of 5

A cottage with plenty of room to hang out, especially the big screened porch overlooking the water. Casual, informal, comfortable atmosphere and everything you need. Very pleasant shady grounds, lots of wildlife. We saw herons, turtles, crabs, and the best of all a bald eagle!

Not a lot to do in Bath, but the area has lots of rural charm blended with historic bits from the 1700s... and we weren't looking for a lot to do. Good antique shops and cafes in nearby Washington historic district. A wonderful, relaxing time and I look forward to coming back with my daughter and sister in law!!!

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house is situated in a tranquil private setting, close to nature but also close to stores and restaurants. We enjoyed every minute, rain or shine. Lovely place! Owners bent over backwards to make sure our stay was perfect. Can’t recommend more highly!

Great experience

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to the wonderful family owners who made our trip special. The accommodations are very relaxing, very rural, and offers a place where one can find a peaceful place to get work done if needed. My husband and I both thought this would be the ideal location to write a paper, a novel, a strategic plan for the upcoming year. One thing to note is that Bath has very limited dining options. The home and property is very accommodating.

Tranquility on the inner banks...

Absolutely loved having coffee on the screened-in porch in the mornings. Thanks for providing a peaceful place to get away from the fray!

The cottage is not only comfortable, but the location is wonderful! We brought our fishing kayaks and explored all over. The hosts were incredible communicators and gave us good suggestions for dining, shopping & sightseeing. Loved Jack's Tavern in Belhaven. Rivals any of our local haunts in the Annapolis area. Stop in Washington at the harbor area - park and stroll the downtown. Wonderful art galleries & some good eats as well. Definitely recommend this property!

Wonderful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time my friend and I had at the Heron House. The beautiful scenery was worth the trip plus the house was very comfortable, especially the living room furniture and the beds. We had plenty of room and everything we needed was provided. I would go again for sure and highly recommend this home for a vacation/getaway.
