Beautiful Refurbished 3BR- 2BA Windsor Hills Penthouse Condo Overlooking Pool

ParkHopper Properties welcomes you to ParkHopper Grandview at Windsor Hills. This is Parkhopper Properties' newly refurbished 3BR-2 BA 1246 sq. ft. luxury condo in Windsor Hills Resort, in Kissimmee, Florida, just 2 miles from the main entrance to Walt Disney World. Grandview features comfortable living areas for up to a family of 8 including a Princess Room with a queen bed that is suited for royalty of all ages.

There is also a brightly colored room with a Mickey theme that features special optional colored lighting for magincal effects.

Grandview is a fourth floor, penthouse level condo in the building next to the pool and the clubhouse, which is the most desirable location in Windsor Hills. The pool and clubhouse area are only a few steps away from our building. Parkhopper Grandview is located on the corner of the top floor of the building that overlooks the pool. It features what is probably the best view in Windsor Hills!

Windsor Hills is a gated community with a double Olympic-sized heated pool which features a two-story spiral water slide, children’s water play area with dancing waters fountains, and a secluded hot tub area. There are lighted tennis, basketball and volleyball courts as well as a fully equipped fitness center, a HD 42-seat theater with free guest-selected movies, outdoor grills, putting green, and two children’s playgrounds. Windsor Hills Resort is one of the closest short term rental properties to the Disney main entrance. Two right turns and two miles after exiting Windsor Hills and guests are driving under the “Welcome to Walt Disney World” sign. Driving time to the various Disney parks varies from about 7-12 minutes from Windsor Hills, depending on the park being visited, the time of day and traffic.

Grandview has been completely refurbished to open in late May 2017 with new furnishings, electronics and bedding. There are porcelain tile floors throughout main living living area of the unit and both baths, with recently replaced carpeting in all three bedrooms. The furniture in this unit has been fitted with glass tops, so no worries about damaging furniture and table tops.

The living room features a new 55' HD TV with a blu-ray player and plenty of seating with a large comfortable sofa and love seat with over-sized ottoman. There is also a 42"HD TV in the Master BR and and a 24 inch TV in the Princess Room. All window treatments are new, and the living room, master bedroom and Mickey Room feature new ceiling fans. The Princess Room does not have a ceiling fan due to the chandelier, but a regal large white fan on a stand is provided if Her Majesty prefers a gentle breeze. There are also quality new pillow top mattresses on all beds in the unit. In addition to cable TV with multiple HD channels, a secure high speed wi-fi connection, and phone with free long distance calls to the US, Canada and Mexico are provided.

The master BR features a king bed with dual night stands and lamps, and a large dresser with lots of storage for clothing and personal items. A private en-suite bath with a newly renovated spa-type shower is accessed through the master bedroom. There is also a magnificent view of the pool, the lake, and the surrounding area from the window in the master bedroom. Plenty of fluffy bath linens are also furnished .

The Princess room features a queen bed with a new pillowtop mattress that should be suitable for even the most delicate of princesses. (Just in case YOUR princess is extra delicate, no peas are allowed!) A crown canopy above the headboard with glittered white sheers retracted to the sides of the bed add to the regal effect. The other furnishings include the 24" chandelier and a gold and white dresser and nightstand which are fitting for royalty. Her Majesty also has a glorious and "Grand View" of her kingdom from her bedroom window where she may choose to survey her kingdom with views of the pool, the lake and beyond. If Her Majesty is an early riser, she may also be entertained by the many hot air balloons that generally appear in the sky early each morning. She may also view her subjects as they enjoy the pool or she may choose to grace them with her presence and join them in frolicking in the pool if that is her pleasure.

For the less royally inclined, the Mickey room has a full and a twin beds, also with new pillow top mattresses. The Mickey room also features a new ceiling fan, blackout curtains for naptime and brightly colored icicle lights that surround the ceiling of the entire room. These lights are beautifully reflected in the angles of the 5 mirrored stars on the walls of the Mickey Room, but unfortunately this effect does not show up well in the photo. However, the colored icicle lights create a magical effect when the overhead lighting is turned off and the blackout draperies are used. A chest of drawers is in one end of the closet to provide extra storage for clothing and personal items. The Princess room and the Mickey room share a hallway bath that is also accessible from the Living Room area. A full tub/shower combination and a hand-held shower accessory make bathing younger guests an easier task in this bath.

Mouse Pad will sleep up to 7 guests with a maximum of 8 if the Pack ‘n Play is used. A Pack 'n Play (sheets included), stroller and high chair are furnished for our younger guests at no extra charge. We also furnish beach towels for use at the pool and a hair dryer in each bath. The bed configuration of king, queen, full and twin allows for 7 guests with possibly a maximum of 8 if one guest is a baby or a toddler. Eight is the maximum number of guests allowed in a 3 BR condo due to local fire codes.

The Grandview balcony features a panoramic of the pool, the lake, and the surrounding area. This view is exquisite in the early morning prior to the pool opening when multiple hot air balloons can usually be seen rising in the distance. There is not a prettier place in Windsor Hills to enjoy a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or tea than the balcony of Grandview. In the evenings after the pool closes at 10 pm, the pool lights remain on for an extra hour or so, and this is also a wonderful time to enjoy a quiet nightcap on the Grandview balcony. There is a small wicker and glass table on the balcony with two large comfortable wicker chairs and also additional seating for two more, making a total of seating for 4 on the balcony.

The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator/freezer, electric range and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Small appliances include coffee maker, toaster, and blender. There are plenty of cooking utensils, a complete new stainless steel cookware set, bakeware, dinnerware, flatware, glassware (including wine glasses), and kitchen linens to prepare and serve meals for up to 8. Additionally, Grandview has a large capacity washer and dryer in the unit available for guest use.

Grandview is in condo building #8 which is closest to the pool and the clubhouse/movie theater/fitness center area. Building #8 is considered to be the most desirable condo building location in Windsor Hills. While Grandview is are only a few steps away from these facilities, it also has the one of the most desirable views in all of Windsor Hills Resort. The map in our photos section will show the exact location of Grandview in relation to the rest of Windsor Hills.

We have a full-time property manager who is onsite in Windsor Hills most days during regular business hours. All guests receive our contact information and the contact information of our local property manager in the event any assistance is needed. Access to Parkhopper Grandview is by a coded touchpad lock. Guests receive a code which will operate the lock for the duration of their stay, so there are no keys to pick up or drop off at an off-site location.

Our guests receive multiple pages of information concerning the resort, driving directions to the resort from the airport and all major highways in the area, information on local toll roads, a short-cut to Disney from Windsor Hills, information on 60+ local dining options all within 2 miles or less from Windsor Hills, and information on local grocery stores and pharmacies. Additionally, we send multiple pages of information on making the most of your Disney vacation and on maneuvering the Disney parks that we have learned from being huge Disney fans since the parks opened in the early 70's. If you are already familiar with the area and know it well, all of our information is quite easy to delete!

Windsor Hills Resort is a gated community, and the security staff is at the front entrance 24/7 to handle check-ins at anytime day or night, so delayed flights and changed arrival times are not a problem. All guests are pre-registered prior to arrival, making check-in a quick stop to pick up a parking card to operate the entrance and exit gates. Check-in is completed as a drive-through process while guests wait in their vehicles.

About ParkHopper Properties by Carolyn Hudson & Charles Hudson

ParkHopper Properties is owned by Carolyn and Charles Hudson. Originally from Mississippi, Birmingham, Alabama has been home for over 39 years. We are the parents of 5 adult children, and we now have LOTS of grandchildren. :o)

We cherish the memories we made on family trips to the Orlando area when our children were small. Now that they have their own families, they enjoy bringing their children to the same theme parks they enjoyed as children.

Two of our daughters worked as musical performers at Disney both in California and Florida, so even after our children were grown, we made many trips to Disney to see their shows. We have stayed in most of the Disney properties and some private rental properties over the years. Once we 'discovered' Windsor Hills, we never stayed anywhere else! It simply could not be beat for facilities and convenience.

In 2012 we decided to buy our first condo in Windsor Hills because we wanted to have a place available to bring our grandchildren. Because our family kept expanding with new grandchildren, we found we needed more room, so we purchased an additional units that suited our location requirements as they became available.

With owning multiple units and managing them ourselves, we found that refurbishing the units offered a creative outlet and managing them was somewhat like a part-time job. Now that we are retired (medical and teaching), we decided that managing additional units would be a suitable job for two retirees.

ParkHopper Properties now owns and manages a total of 7 condos in Windsor Hills. Five of them are in the building adjacent to the pool, and two are diagonally across the street from the pool building. Having all of the properties close together gives us the flexibility of having properties suitable for larger groups.

We think Grandview is one of the most desirable condo locations in the entire Windsor Hills community. Grandview is a 4th floor penthouse unit on the corner of the building that is closest to the pool and the clubhouse. It is very private and quiet, and the views are exceptional.

What makes this condo unique

The pictures do not to justice to the beautiful views from this unit. In the mornings we often see multiple hot air balloons rising in the distance from beyond the lake. In the evenings, Windsor Hills leaves the pool lights on for an hour or so after the pool closes, and the view of the lighted pool in the evening is exquisite. The balcony is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a little quiet time at the end of the day.

Absolutely perfect for our family!

We are a family of 4 that traveled to Disney World for our daughter's 4th birthday. (All parks are literally within 10 minutes away and was so easy to zip in and out of Disney!) With the 3 bedrooms, it was nice for each of us to have our own space. Each kid had their own bedroom and the princess bedroom was perfect for our 3 year old who turned 4 while we were there (some darker curtains in this bedroom would've been nice for her naptime but not a deal breaker). Our son is almost 2 and loves Mickey so he loved to be in his bedroom with the lights (which are a perfect nightlight with the blackout curtains)! We stayed 5 nights and when we arrived the first night I had ordered Walmart grocery pickup which is literally a 2 minute drive down the road and I stopped there daily to grab items so that was very handy. The condo is beautiful and all beds and couches were extremely comfortable. I have nothing negative to say about the condo at all! The trash bin is literally right outside the door which we've stayed at many VRBO's and you always have to carry the trashbags across the property to some huge, smelly dumpster but not here! We are right above the pool and all of the action and the lights from the pool at night are so cool to look out at. Parking is right out front and we always got a spot right there. We did laundry every day so the washer/dryer in the unit was handy. Also, they supply a pack n play, a highchair and a small stroller....which is a HUGE plus when traveling with a 1 year old - I did not have to pack a booster seat or a pack n play for him!! Overall this was the perfect place for us and I hope we can stay here again in the near future. Thanks Carolyn- working with you was seamless and easy!!

Perfect vacation

We spent a very enjoyable month in the 3 bedroom condo. Everything about this experience was perfect, from our first contact with the owners right through to our last day. Pride of ownership is in this home, it’s clean, comfortable, nicely decorated & they have tried to think of everything to make your stay perfect. The surrounding area is in a gated community which makes it safe for families, with lots of things to do. A beautiful pool, a new water park being built beside the huge pool, neighbourhood parks, which are easy to walk to. There’s a Walmart close by and tons of restaurants which are easy to drive to. Carolyn and Charles are awesome and are very helpful, providing so much great information for the area & Disney. We highly recommend this or any of their rentals within this complex. Top star plus with this rental!

Parkhoper Properties

The Parkhoper Properties is accurately described in the listing with regards to location, layout and amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare all meals. The condo was spotless and well maintained. This location is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Disney and about 20 minutes from Universal. They have a 24 hour Walmart just up the road which made it convenient when arriving at 11:30 pm to pick up food and other items for the next day. At the main intersection of I- 192 there are a number of fast food restaurants and gift shops. We spent a day at the pool which was beautiful and clean. The kids enjoyed the market on site which sold ice cream and candies. The owners were attentive and easy to work with. We had a great time!

Loved it!

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay. This was the first time at this facility. There were things for the children to do. The owner is very gracious and the condo was beautiful. We unfortunately came down during a little bit of cold front but all and all our trip was lovely. Everything is within a short distance. I highly recommend this property.

perfect locaion!

We were here for my daughters lacrosse tournament at ESPN World Wide of Sport Center. The team stayed at the Pop Century hotel in Disney. and commented that the hotel was old and the rooms were small. We decided to make a family vacation out of the trip so we needed more space to spread out. What a wonderful choice we made! The condo is spacious, clean, 4 miles to the parks and overlooks the beautiful pool. The top floor is great as well because we had no overhead noise. The pool has a great kids slide and splash area!

The grocery store is close and we were able to make most meals in the condo, saving money at the parks. I would definitely stay here again!
