A very comfortable and relaxing 2 bedroom, ground floor apartment near Cardiff Centre and Bay. Excellent location, with the City Centre only a 15 minute walk away the apartment is an ideal base to explore the City or for those visiting for events at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Motor point Arena, Millennium Centre, Arm’s Park, Swalec Stadium, St David’s Hall, and Cardiff’s Theatres (all within walking distance).

Cardiff’s Universities and Cardiff Stadium are a short drive away and easily accessible by taxi or public transport.

It is only a 10/15 minute walk to Cardiff Bay with the Wales Millenium Centre, Mermaid Quay , The Doctor Who Experience , Senedd ( the Welsh parliament ), barage, boat trips and the numerous restaurants and trendy bars.

Cardiff has an amazing array of things to do to keep visitors occupied all year round. Cardiff boasts one of the finest selections of golf courses in the UK, there is a myriad of cultural and sporting events available, from the National Museum and Gallery of Wales, to the Millennium Centre , home of the Welsh National Opera and International arts complex, St. Davids Theatre, and of course, the world famous Principality Stadium, which not only hosts world class rugby and football fixtures, but also major musical events.

Sailing, canoeing and kayaking are very popular in Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel – and of course, the shopping is fabulous!

Approximately 80% of the UK can be reached by road within 4 hours from Cardiff. London is just 2 hours away by train and European, national and other overseas destinations are well served by Cardiff International Airport ( 20 minute drive , there is also a special airport bus service the T9)

We are a retired couple living in our Welsh cottage near Llanelli and Swansea . We have considerable knowledge of Wales should you have any questions.

In the photo I am standing by the side of the Principality Stadium having completed a lovely walk in the nearby Bute Park which is described as countryside in a town.

Why Janice Sharpe chose Cardiff

Cardiff is such a young and vibrant city . Its many attractions cater for every age group. We have enjoyed the bars and restaurants, theatres and events in Cardiff Centre and Cardiff Bay ( all within walking distance ). Our walks have taken us to Cardiff parks, the Taff Trail, the Barrage ( part of the Coastal Path ), Cosmeston Lakes and Medieval Village, Penarth, Barry Island and the Brecon Beacons.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is warm and cosy with all modern amenities. As a ground floor apartment there are no stairs to climb. The grounds are well kept as are the communal areas. There is a caretaker on site. So convenient for all the attractions that the vibrant city of Cardiff has to offer.To be car free is wonderful. There is secure parking for one car controlled by CCTV. If guests have more than one car there is road parking outside the complex and a car park just up the road costing £5 per day.

Lovely flat....around 10 mim walk centre....me and girls were there for Scotland vs wales six nations match....no trouble at all!! Owner is lovely! Met us on arrival couldnt asked for a nicer owner tbh! Flat lovely inside....only thing was something wrong with hot water...but I think that is getting fixed.....beds comfy....😀 so am sure wel will be back!!

Excellent location, great owner!

My two friends and I booked six nights at this lovely spot for the Rugby world cup. The owner Janice is great. She provided us with ample information about the area including things to do, places to get food and a map of the city. She also left us milk, cereal, tea and bread to get us started.

The two bathrooms both have showers, which is great when you have three or more people. The place also has WiFi and two TV's, great for the rainy evenings.

It is about a 10 minute walk to downtown/train station, and just off the main road so it is easy to find. It is a quiet building at night.

The place was also very clean on our arrival and the kitchen had more than enough forks and knives loads of pots and pans to do cooking.

If you have a car they property also has a spot.

Overall excellent stay, would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.!

Excellent acondiation

I stayed at this apartment with a group of 5 other girls. There is an allocated space with barrier entry and the other car park closely around the corner. Janice accurately showed us the walking route to the St David's mall which took no longer than 10 minutes to walk. Apartment felt homely and although 6 of us stayed it was not crowded, even with the sofa bed pulled out - which was very comfortable. Would recommend and hope to re-visit.

Comfortable and walkable

Apartment was as described and Janice was an extremely gracious and accommodating host. She greeted us at train and even provided some groceries to get us started. Good keys and locking system. The apartment is well stocked (maybe even too well stocked).

Things to consider: This is an industrial looking neighborhood. We had no car and could walk to either city center or the harbor in 15 minutes. That is also the closest grocery store which was a little inconvenient. The buses at the train station were convenient and easy to use.

Owner's Response: The " industrial area ' is because this is the next part of Cardiff to be developed. It does not spoil the beautiful grounds of the complex .

Excellent choice

My mother and I visited this lovely flat for a week in January. Janice is an absolutely wonderful host. Check-in and check-out were simple. The flat was very well appointed - everything you need for a week on holiday. Clean, neat and very modern. We didn't have a car and used the bus for transport to cut down on the walk into city center. You can get by pretty easily on public transport once you get to know the cardiff system. The flat is a bit further from city center than I may have hoped because mum isn't quite as young as she used to be, but once we figured out the bus schedules, that issue became moot. I rent holiday flats regularly and this experience ranks among the best I've had. Thanks again to the owner who helped make things so smooth and hassle-free.

Definitely, a home from home

We stayed for ten days and it was perfect. The apartment is very comfortable and it has everything one needs to feel at home. It is walking distance from the city centre and Cardiff bay, so we didn't have to take buses or taxis at any time. There is private parking in the building, which is convenient if you hire a car as we did for the last days. It is quite near supermarkets too. The immediate area doesn't look very nice but it was safe. Janice, the owner, is very kind and helpful. We will recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives.

Owner's Response: Some of the immediate area is part of an industrial estate and as we are the first block of apartments as you walk down Dumballs Road our guests can see some of these buildings as they exit the property. It is hoped that some time . in the near future. these buildings will be demolished. The Vale of Glamorgan College has already built a brand new training centre across the road from the apartments and renovated one of the buildings further up Dumballs Road with a small cafeteria for the students.
