About Rebekah and Aaron Travis
My husband and I live next door. We both love the area, and we can give you tons of recommendations. My husband has lived here his whole life, and especially if you have questions about biking, he can point you in the right direction. I am a mother of three and labor nurse. My husband has a full time job in Asheville and farms for fun in his free time. (The sheep across the street are ours; we have more hidden elsewhere) We offer this rental, because we love it here and want to share it with others.
What makes this House unique
We try to make our cozy house a place for families to enjoy, with all the amenities one might expect in a rental, with the privacy of a mountain home, without the high rates found in the area. Though 10 miles from downtown, you may feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy all that Asheville has to offer, then come home to our neat little home to relax.

The house was nice and although it was more remote then I had thought it was very peaceful and a great place to stay.
Great secluded cabin
The cabin was clean and well-stocked with the essentials. It was nice having a washer and dryer - with two young kids, we accumulate a lot of laundry in a short period of time! The layout of the cabin was nice with the master on one side and the two bedrooms on the opposite side. There was plenty of room for our toddler to run around and play inside when we were taking breaks from sight-seeing. They do have a crib if you are traveling with an infant. Rebekah was very friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to check in a few hours early. Note that the cabin is about 20-25 minutes from Asheville and Chimney Rock, so be prepared to drive if you want to see any of the major sights (this was not a negative - we knew this when booking the cabin).
Great weekend stay
My husband and I, our 11 year old daughter and 2 girls friends came to Asheville for a wedding. This house was so cute tucked back in the woods and was the perfect amount of room for the 5 of us. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had essentials like seasonings, cooking spray and aluminum foil. Owners are super friendly and very responsive. We had a great stay.

Very clean house, quiet & felt secluded. Perfect distance from town.
We really enjoyed our stay in your relaxing paradise! We arrived early and was very thankful you allowed us to have access, as we had errands to run before my daughter's big day in Saturday. Everything we needed was furnished in the house including some shampoo. It was so nice to come back in and sit out on the porch see the stars and just relax. We look forward to coming back when we can explore more of the surrounding areas.
Pretty area- house very comfortable and very clean! Very enjoyable!
Our house is located in the eclectic farming community of Fairview, North Carolina. We are just a few minutes from the popular tourist destination, Hickory Nut Gap Farm, offering tours, farm to table dinners, dances and more. There is even a hidden brewery down the road for those looking to try a secret microbrew. The house is perfectly located for those looking to tour the mountains. We are 10 miles from downtown Asheville, 30 minutes from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, 45 from Pisgah Forest with Sliding Rock. There are hiking and biking trails all around.
