Lovely Spacious Villa

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in August 2016, the villa was lovely, very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a two week stay.

The property is alarmed which we thought was a nice touch as we felt safe leaving our valuables behind when we left the villa. The only thing that we would have liked would be a safe to keep our money and passports.

There was a small shop a few minutes walk from the villa, this was great for picking up a few bits but a bit too expensive for the main shop so we tended to get a taxi for around 5 Euros to the Spa shop in town.

The villa was a lot further inland than we expected. When we booked it looked like it would only be a couple of minutes away from the promenade with the bars and restaurants but it was actually quite a trek - about 15 minutes walk to flamingo and 30 to playa blanca. However there was a taxi rank a few minutes walk from the villa and also a bus stop which we used frequently.

The pool and the hot tub were both cleaned very regularly and any issues we had were sorted straight away.

All in all this is a great villa, I can see it being perfect for big groups or families holidaying together. If in a group we would definitely book again but unfortunately it was just too big for the two of us!

Spacious, clean & modern

  • 4 of 5

First of all we had an easy check in from Daniel, who was extremely informative about the villa and area. He was also very quickly on hand for a minor electrical issue. We were also able to check out late which saved us waiting around for two hours.

The villa was larger than we expected and a good size for our party of 6. Two bedrooms are upstairs and two down, so would suit two families. It was spotless and the bathrooms are very nice, although hot water is slightly sporadic. Kitchen isn't huge, but doesnt really matter if you are BBQing or eating out. Nice views of the sea in the distance (over rooftops) and mountains to one side. Although there are several villas around, they are staggered down the slope so you dont feel hemmed in. The pool area is very private and not overlooked, even by the adjoining villa. The hot tub was fantastic, especially as the pool was too cold for some of us. Great to know that the hot tub is emptied after every changeover. Nice built in BBQ and dining area. Also, we received a great Xmas box filled with chocolates and goodies, which was lovely.

The only negatives for us were that it is too far to walk to much (small hotel supermarket 2 mins walk away with food basics and taxi rank is near/about €4 to town), the wifi is very temperamental and the kitchen utensils a bit basic. Also, although there was a welcome pack, it would be good to have a few basics like washing up liquid, salt/pepper etc. It has quite a few steps and no gate to separate the pool from the rest of the outdoor area, so may not suit toddlers.

These were only minor things and overall I would highly recommend the villa.

Fabulous Villa , perfect vacations

  • 5 of 5

We had lovely vacations with the family and kids. This spacious Villa gave us the chance to enjoy our last holidays in Lanzarote.

Daniel, the manager, met us in the Villa to give us the keys and lots of handy information , both about the Villa and Lanzarote. He also made our staying kindly easy, he was really helpfull.

The heated pool is amazing and the views from the jacuzzi just stunning. The house is provided with facilities for kids, such as cot and high-chair.

Clean , quiet and in a very good location.

We'll be back next year, that's 100 % sure.

Regards,

Sarah

Lovely spacious villa, certainly not 5 star luxury

  • 3 of 5

My partner and I arrived at the Villa on the Saturday evening around 20:30ish. we were greeted by a lady I think Sylvia was her name she gave us a machine gun run down of the villa, facilities and local area. This was way too much information to take in especially after a full days travelling and the speed at which she delivered the information. The truth is that she admitted she was in a hurry to go out partying with it being Saturday night. She said we could contact her anytime for any matter via Whatsapp but then she forgot to give us her number, probably due to the hurry to get out to the disco.

The Villa itself was big and spacious but let down in a number of areas.

Cleanliness - the whole villa inside and out could have done with a major deep clean, we could see that after the cleaners had been all they had really done was to clean some dust off the surfaces and mop the floors. In our opinion the place could have done with a few gallons of bleach to give it a really good clean. There was no attention to detail what so ever. The furniture in the downstairs living area was dated and worn out and in a few areas filthy.

The outside cleanliness was just as bad there was cigarette ends everywhere and the outside furniture had seen better days and in need of an upgrade. The garden was full of weeds and didn't look as if it had been serviced all summer. Although the swimming pool was cleaned twice per week there was no net available to allow us to fish out any debris or insects.

The kitchen area was also filthy with tiny insects crawling all over the worktops, make sure you store any food or drink in the fridge. Kitchen cupboard door held on with one hinge. Most of the kitchen utensils were dated and could have done with being replaced. The iron board also looked as if it had been used down the beach for people to practise surfing on, not what you would expect from a Luxury Villa.

The pictures of the villa give the overall impression of luxury but when you look at the detail it is far from it. The pool table for example had more run offs than a ski slope and I have seen more bounce in a brick than the cushions on the table.

The main thing that was good about the villa was its location, far enough away from the noisy main roads but close enough to all the main amenities.

One of our days was ruined by the unexpected visit from 6 or 7 workmen who were there to fix some leak. Advance warning would have been nice Daniel.

Owner's Response: Dear Sir and Madam, This comment really surprises us , as we never had before any unfavorable comments about the cleanness , furniture or our house managers. Our house managers, Daniel and Silvia welcome all our customers with the useful information about Villa Ambar and surroundings , in order to make your staying easier , so it's strange for us to hear this , because , normally , people staying in our Villa are really thankful for this. Our managers, Sylvia and Daniel have always behaved in a professional way with all our customers, We had a water leak one of those days during your staying, and it needed to be fixed , we always try to solve those things as fast as possible , so we sent 2 workers to fix it and our manager told in advance. If our cleaning team makes a mistake you always have the phone of one of our managers who is 24 hours to your service , and you can always contact as , the owners . If something like this happened , a simple phone call would have been enough to solve it. None of us got any complain or comment during your staying in Villa Ambar about any matter. We would have loved to help you if you found something wrong and told us. Regards, Monica Vetter Enviado desde Yahoo Mail para iPad

Great villa

  • 5 of 5

First of all thank you Monica and Daniel, from enquiring about your villa to booking, arrival and departure you both made the experience very easy.

We were a party of 8 adults and a little one, the villa was more than ample to meet our needs and never felt we were on top of each other for the whole 2 weeks. The villa was very clean as was the pool and jacuzzi. There is a villa attached next door but it was still felt very private with the wall dividing the properties and the view at times was stunning. There was also plenty of info regarding things to do and local amenities in the villa.

Never had the pleasure of meeting the complex manager Daniel but he was very helpful giving my brother the initial tour as he arrived ahead of the main group.

Location of villa is a little bit out of the centre but well within walking distance, the taxi rank around the corner was handy and at about 3.50 euro to centre saved us a walk at times.

Was our first time in Playa Blanca and we all loved it, the villa was excellent and gave us a great base to go out and about to explore the area. Cant recommend booking this villa enough, like i said, from initial enquiry of villa right through to departure was made very easy and would certainly book again if/when we return to Playa Blanca.

Richard F :-)
