We loved the secluded but beautiful area the Lodge is in. The WOW factor of when you go upstairs! Everything you need is in the lodge. Very tasteful rooms. We loved it.
Absolutely wonderful. Everything was just first class.
The property was well laid out and had a comfortable, homely feel to it. The view from the living area was second to none. To see a pair of Sprrow hawks, deer, rabbits outside your Cottage is extra special.
Decor was outstanding, it really was home from home. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. It’s also well placed and gives you access to many local areas of interest.
We will definitely return to this cottage in the future and having read the visitors book that’s a common occurrence. I think that speaks volumes. This property gets 100% positive feedback in all area. Highly recommend a visit here.
A cottage haven
A friend and I stayed at Hollyburn Lodge for three nights. It is located on a working farm and run by a wonderful couple. Cell phone service is spotty at best but the free WIFI was good. The cottage is well fitted out and has everything one needs, including a full kitchen, a washing machine and great heat throughout!
If you are looking for a quiet country cottage, this is a good choice!
From the moment we stepped into Hollyburn Lodge, we immediately felt at home. The accommodation is light and airy, and it was a bonus to have the living room on the first floor which extended the view of the lake from the balcony. It was a treat to have a dishwasher and the kitchen area lacked for nothing. The beds were very comfy and it was a highlight to draw the curtains on a few mornings to see the deer on the lawn. After our days out to Balmoral, Aberdeen and Dunnottar Castle, it was a joy to return to the lodge to relax in the lovely surroundings. Thank you very much indeed.
Very happy with our stay. Would do it again!
Lovely cottage, fantastic location
Lovely cottage & surroundings.
We had such a nice time here over the Christmas period, would of stayed longer if cottage had been available. Lovely touches with Christmas tree & decorations around the cottage. Definitely will return.
Aberdeen City and Shire is home to the country’s largest national park, a dramatically imposing coastline and of course the city itself, there is so much to explore in Aberdeen City and Shire. Fusing striking granite architecture, a rich and inspiring history, a dynamic modern arts scene and perhaps Scotland's strongest industrial heritage; the country's third largest city offers a host of treasures, just waiting to be explored again & again.
