About Kimberly Stephens

My husband and I have been married almost 20 years, we have two wonderful adult sons, a beautiful daughter in law and an adorable rescue dog!

Kimberly Stephens purchased this house in 2016

Why Kimberly Stephens chose Camano Island

We visited Camano Island, WA for the first time in Aug 2016, by Oct 2016 we were looking for places to buy! When we found this home (by "accident"), it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! We aren't QUITE ready to retire so we decided to SHARE this VERY special place with YOU until we CAN (retire)!

What makes this house unique

Large, waterfront home on 2 secluded wooded lots.

Camano Island is a drive-on island and therefore EXTREMELY easy to access PLUS, it's kind of a "secret" (not YET crowded with tourists).

You can explore islands, mountains, waterfalls, the ocean, this PERFECT location.

We are THRILLED, and we believe YOU will be too!

Most delightful home

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many different VRBO rental homes over the last 15 years and each home as been a wonderful home, but must say this home has the best views, spectacular sunsets, great kitchen for those who like to cook, and so much more. The power went out while we were there and the house is connected to an automatic generator, which worked well. The owner contacted us to be sure we were doing OK, as there was a small snow storm that went through. The number of large windows in the living room, kitchen and dining area keep you feeling connected to the outdoors at all times, it did not matter that there was a cold spell going on outside. The owner has the kitchen well stocked for those who like to cook. This home is definitely a home to check out, the owner is such a wonderful person to work with. We most definitely hope to be able to rent this home again in the future.

What a home! What a view! What a wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

My family loves to come together on holidays and we are always looking for that perfect home that would meet our needs. After a long search last summer we came across this listing that ticked off our very unique needs for a week stay over the new year's holiday.

1. Off the beaten path, but close enough to go urban if the mood hits

2. Waterfront or Water view

3. A place to gather outside (winter or summer)

4. A place to interact with local folks

5. A large home with lots amenities and room to spread out

If this list is yours as well, you need to experience this house. Our group of seven (4 adults and 3 kids) had no great anticipation about the house. We have stayed in many homes advertised similarly online, but usually they are over-hyped. This house is understated in it's offerings!

THE VIEW is worth the price of admission. The expansive landscape is constantly changing and always making you catch your breath and head to one of the many huge windows. (sunrise and sunsets shouldn't be missed) Though you can't walk down to the waterfront, the deck is the next best thing and the 40ft height only adds to the overall view. The yard is fenced off in case you have little ones. Our 4yr old was perfectly safe.

THE COMMUNITY on the island is very quiet and low-key. There are many great flavors to be found in the local restaurants and pubs, and to go along with the chef's kitchen with top notch appliances, (large and small) there are three local grocers to get the fresh ingredients needed for any feast.

THE HOUSE was the perfect size for up to 10 visitors to spread out. The main floor appears to have been recently updated and the living and dining areas are vaulted with tons of light and openness. It felt interestingly like a church with the 3rd floor open to below providing the same views everywhere. (Take you coffee to the third floor and take it all in in the morning) Mitsubishi climate control units along with a productive gas fireplace with blowers kept us toasty all day. The FULLY stocked fire-pit is a must no matter the season. (it's all there for you) All beds were cozy and some had heated mattress pads! There is an amazing assortment of goodies tucked away for guests to use. There is even an ice cream maker with a Ben and Jerry's cookbook! Sadly, we never had the chance to break it out.

THE OWNER clearly makes a point to ensure her guests are pleased. Of ALL the owners I've worked with, Kimberly is the best!

Nice for Families

As promised, great views even during the rainy season. Large west-facing windows on all three floors. Kitchen has lots of great supplies for those who like to cook. No-shoes-allowed-inside keep the floors clean and shiny, so remember your slippers. :)

Puget Sound Treasure: Affable & Accomodating Owner, Amazing Home, Enchanting Views!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I rented this home to accommodate my immediate family for our daughter's wedding that took place on Camano Island. The home is simply wonderful. It is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped to satisfy almost any need making for a truly relaxing and carefree stay.

Kimberly is one of the most accommodating and kind owners that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Additionally, she was extremely responsive to any communication, need, or request...not that we had many due to how great this home truly is. Finally, the views from this home are captivating. From the kitchen every morning; as we enjoyed a cup of coffee, we were mesmerized by the views of the Puget Sound and the abundant wildlife that we were able to see. During our stay we spotted an otter, seals, dolphins, and we are fairly confident that we glimpsed the back of an Orca whale!

The consensus from my entire family is that this was by far the best vacation home that we have ever stayed at, collectively or individually.

Beautiful and relaxing home with stunning views and plenty of room for everyone

  • 5 of 5

Owner is excellent host! A group of 10 went out for extended weekend celebration and the house was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The rooms are very comfortable, plenty of linens and towels for a large party. Stunning views of the water from the house, large decks to lounge around. We had a lovely stay, highly recommend.

Excellent, relaxing, beautiful Elger Bay!

  • 5 of 5

Arriving at Kimberly's Elger Bay, we were immediately impressed with the natural beauty of the location. The house is located within a stone's throw of Elger Bay's calming waters. There are multiple and ample outside seating areas that make enjoying the natural beauty easy and comfortable. The house itself is large, comfortable and very accommodating - there were 7 of us, including a 91 year old. The house is very well furnished, including: comfortable furniture, clean comfortable bedding, and plentiful and clean towels. And the kitchen! Utensils, pots and pans, silverware, accessories (blender, coffee grinders and makers - probably everything you have at home!) - very well equipped. Kimberly was very clear in her communications with us before our arrival date. She was in touch with us as we arrived. And, she was very responsive with any questions we had during our stay. She could not have made our visit any easier! We will definitely return for another visit. Thank you, Kimberly!
