About Tim and Liz Dodwell

We bought the studio when our 3 children were aged 10 to 16 and we have enjoyed wonderful skiing holidays here every year since. Now our children rent similar properties in the block and join us with our grandchildren. All ages and abilities love the place. None of us want to go anywhere else except for the odd day excursion offered in our ski passes.

Why Tim and Liz Dodwell chose Montgenèvre

After skiing elsewhere in France, Austria and then Scotland we were delighted to discover Montgenevre, a real mountain village with plenty of trees and beautiful landscapes. The flat is small, cosy and comfortable and we have everything here that we have ever needed. We drive from the UK and enjoy stopping elsewhere in France on the way, or even go south to the Med.

What makes this apartment unique

The weather is exceptional and frequently Montgenevre has snow when other resorts around have little or none. It suits all abilities. It's great to ski into Italy and enjoy just the next village, the mountain restaurants or explore the Milky Way with its Olympic runs. Our lift pass gives this option and also the chance to drive to other ski resorts for a day. It's also an ideal location for a summer holiday with walking, climbing, hiking, cycling, tennis, swimming, golf and riding with canoeing and rafting nearby.

Montgenevre is a charming village with breathtaking scenery in the Alps near the French Italian border so you can enjoy both cultures. It's an ideal family ski resort and in summer offers many outdoor activities. It enjoys its own special climate with an excellent snow record in the winter yet promising 300 days a year with sunshine.
