Location, location, location...Great staff
Pros: Location is fabulous, walking distance to Ala Moana mall, Waikiki shops, lots of restaurants and of course the beach! Car rentals across the street, grocery store just a few blocks away. Management was very responsive when I called to let them know that the bathtub wasn't draining & that the fridge appeared to be leaking water. A gal came right up & when the drain didn't budge after she used some drain cleaner she called the maintenance crew who snaked the drain. The fridge issue was also promptly addressed, turned out to be a minor issue & we didn't have anymore problems with it. The staff were all wonderful, friendly & had the Aloha spirit! The condo is spacious, the air conditioning a welcome plus after an afternoon on the beach. The view is to die for, especially the sunsets every evening. It is exactly as pictured from the lanai. Kitchen was well equipped although we did much less cooking than we intended due to the good restaurants so close by (Cinnamons at the Illakai Hotel is great for breakfast, the drinks are comparatively cheap at the Harbor Bar & Pub right downstairs, The Chart House is good too). So we never used the stove & I hand washed the dishes as there were so few. But there is a dishwasher & the basics are supplied (dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc.) Another huge plus - a washer & dryer in the unit (be sure to pick up laundry soap at the store).
Cons: The condo is a bit dated, I believe the place was built in the sixties, some remodeling has been done but it could really, really use a fresh coat of paint & a deep cleaning. The bathroom ceiling is either very dirty or is starting to accumulate some mildew & the bathroom fan is terribly noisy & automatically comes on with the lights. The bed is a king, comfortable, although a bit soft for me, but be careful of stubbing your toe or hitting your shins as the space around the bed is narrow. The lanai is tiny, basically just room enough for two people to stand & take in the view. There is no pool but apparently there is a plan for one on the rooftop in the future. The beach is so close we didn't miss a pool anyway.
We would consider staying in this condo again because you really can't beat the location and the price is right.
Fab views great location Would stay here again
Nice clean well equipped apartment
Very nice. Great location and view. Well equipped. Misses not having pool
Excellent. Would rent again.
Beautiful ocean view, spacious, clean and convenient location
We enjoyed staying at this condo unit with the beautiful ocean views. It made us feel like at home with all the amenities and the convenient location. The only downside is the fold down futon in the living room is too small for 2 people.
Love those sunsets!!!
The location is just off Ala Moana beside the marina. A short walk brings you to Waikiki Beach and all the action you could want. Restaurants, bars, surf, sand and palm trees. This is what you came for, right?
We found the room comfortable and quiet (except when they were filming Hawaii 50 on the street below) but it was cool to see that.
I do have two things I would recommend.
Get a Keurig or some other coffee maker and upgrade the mattress.
Mattress was comfortable but sags towards the middle.
We would stay there again because of the convenience and gorgeous sunsets.
A great condo with fantastic view!
A great condo with fantastic view over the marina, the lagoon at Hilton and Magic Island. Beautiful sunset in the ocean almost every evening. Nice furnitures, well equipped kitchen and a perfect location. If we ever come back to Hawaii and Oahu we would love to stay here again.
