I am a registered pediatric nurse, mother of 4 grown children and married for 26 years. My husband grew up coming to Wells; and it is our hope that our children will continue to return every summer. This cottage was built about 10 years ago, and renovated last year.
Annie Pickett purchased this cottage in 1996
This cottage is next door to the cottage where my husband came as a child, and is still owned by his family.
Perfect location!!! There was a beautiful view of the bay...hop skip and a jump away from the beach! Nice walk to the small center. The cottage was plenty big for two families. Very clean and spacious. The owner of the house was so very accommodating!!! Great weekend!!!
My 2 friends and I stayed here with our teenage daughters for 3 nights and found the place to be above and beyond its description, and our expectations. The decor is beautiful, something out of a Pottery Barn catalog, and the house was immaculate. We realized we overpacked when we found plenty of beach chairs and towels. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. We all had a wonderful time and hope to make this a tradition!
I stayed at the cottage for the weekend of my Birthday as just a great little getaway,When I entered the cottage upon my arrival I was greeted by a very lovely and welcoming cotttage. The interior was all done in whitewashed barnboard floor to ceiling and the curtains were all gingham of different colors in each room. The dining table was a 1940's enamel top light blue with white embellishments on the corners and a set of white shabby chic chairs. This cottage is absolutely charming and I am looking forward to another stay there in the future.
Walking distance to trolley stop, gift shops and restaurant. Two blocks to beach. 15 minute drive to boats for whale watching, deep sea fishing, lobster tours. Plenty of shopping in Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. 45 minute drive to Portland and 1 hour drive to Freeport and L.L. Bean. 30 minute drive to Kittery and outlet shopping.
