Located in the heart of the historic center, 5 mins’ walk from Piazza Maggiore, in one of the most picturesque streets,a totally renovated beautiful, spacious and very comfortable apartment with a wooden 17th century painted ceiling and wooden beams, with all modern amenities in an atmospheric historic setting.

Comfortably accommodating 5 (if necessary 6) people, it has 2 double bedrooms, 1 smaller bedroom (a single room where you can anyway accommodate 2 single beds) and 2 large bathrooms with showers, with a modern kitchen and sitting/dining area

Furnishings include high-quality modern furniture, fittings and new beds (beds are singles to be put together to form doubles) with top-quality orthopedic mattresses, offering all the elements for a comfortable stay - chosen for style as well as functionality.

All kitchen devices are state-of-the-art: refrigerator/freezer, cooking range/oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle and coffee-makers, utensils, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Television, DVD player and internet Wi-Fi are included. Bed linen and bath/kitchen towels are provided.

The apartment is in a great location – quiet and residential, steps from Via d’Azeglio which leads directly into the central Piazza Maggiore.

Everything you need is within walking distance or max a short bus ride.

Two well-equipped supermarkets are nearby (3 mins’walk) and“Il Quadrilatero /Mercato di Mezzo”, very picturesque food market is 5 mins’walk.

All the main attractions, as well as shops, cafés, restaurants are close by on foot.

Bologna's most elegant shopping district is very close by - and also the best gelato in town!

Plentiful historical monuments and churches are nearby, including the beautiful square and church of San Domenico, containing works of Pisano, Michelangelo and Lippi. This is a perfect spot for walking out the door to enjoy the best that Bologna has to offer.

“Giardini Margherita” (Bologna’s most famous park is close by (10 mins’walk), “S.Michele in Bosco” (nice park with a great view of the historic center from the square adjacent to the Church) is 10 mins’walk. The large beautiful “Villa Ghigi” in its park in the foothills of the Appennines is about 15 mins’walk, 5 mins by bus.

We are a married couple -a teacher of English and a physicist-with two daughters.

We have another property in the center, VRBO "Il Portico", Great Comfort and Syle in the Heart of the Historic Center". We like meeting new people and keeping in touch!

From here, everything within the walls of the historic center of Bologna – and the railway station – is within walking distance, or a short bus ride.

Wonderful Stay in Beautiful Apartment

This has been one of our best and most enjoyable travel experiences largely due to our stay in

this beautiful apartment. We were two couples who stayed here for a week in early October. Location was excellent – on a quiet, residential street only a ten-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore. Food shopping and cafes were just around the corner. The apartment is spacious, immaculate, tastefully renovated and decorated, and very comfortable. The two full bathrooms were a great plus. We enjoyed cooking several meals in the well-equipped kitchen and very much appreciated that even basic condiments were provided. We looked forward to coming “home” after a busy day of touring and slept well on the comfortable mattresses. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Paola has thought of everything and was extremely responsive to all our questions prior to and during our stay. Both she and Ken were warm and generous and shared their knowledge as well as a box of delicious pastries to welcome us.

We highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting this beautiful city. If we return to Bologna, we would love to stay here again.

Centrally located, well-furnished accommodation.

One of the best holiday rentals that I have stayed in. The apartment is spotlessly clean, with good quality furnishings and kitchen utensils. The owners are very helpful. The neighbourhood is generally quiet and is very close to all locations in downtown Bologna.

Superb apartment. Great hostess and central location

With my wife we stayed a week in this very lovely apartment in November 2017. We were greeted by its owner Paola who gave us a tour and provided us with important information related to the surroundings. The apartment was recently renovated and has everything that any traveller might need for comfort. We have stayed in several vacation apartments throughout the years and this was probably the best. Two good size bedrooms and a third smaller one. Hot and strong shower. Full refrigerator. Gas stove (but rarely used since we ate out). Two bath rooms, both very comfortable.`Washer. Comfortable living room with cable TV. Everything very clean. Spotless.

It is centrally located, There are various supermarkets near, the one we used was a 3 minutes walk away.

Plaza Maggiore, the center of Bologna's old town is a 10-15 minutes walk away with many interesting stores and restaurants on the way there.

Bologna is an impressive, vibrant city with a lot of history and culture, great food and shopping.

Paola was very hospitable and gave us dining recommendations. One of them was the best meal we had in the trip (La Santa in via Urbana 10 minutes away) and we had many good ones. She was always one telephone text away in case we had questions or needed assistance.

We loved this apartment and its hostess and encourage any Bologna visitor to try it.

Bologna is a great city with a wonderful historical centre and fabulous food. This flat is in an ideal situation , only minutes from all the sights with a number of excellent restaurants close by. Paola the owner is a welcoming host and is very kind and helpful.

“Via Solferino” is a great location – quiet and residential, yet steps from Via d’Azeglio which leads directly into the central Piazza Maggiore. On Via d'Azeglio you will find groceries, shops, restaurants/cafes/bars, pharmacies, banks and much more. Bologna's most elegant shopping district is very close by - as is Funivia for the best gelato in town! Great selection of typical restaurants and "Trattorie" and "Osteria" nearby. 2 well equipped supermarkets 3 mins walk away.
