AMAZING historic home!
Spectacular home - all the history but meticulously renovated with top notch modern amenities! Could not ask for a better place to stay for our son’s wedding weekend! Lots of room for us to spread out and also room to all be together. Clearly Molly thought of everything - the attention to detail was phenomenal! One warning though - all staircases are original (read that as steep and twisty!) If you have mobility issues that could be a problem. But if you are mobile, this place cannot be best! Loved it!
Fabulous Wedding Weekend!
Our family of 10 stayed at this wonderful property 3 nights and 4 days to attend our daughter's June wedding at Unionville Vineyards. The property was immaculate, well-appointed, charming, and even more appealing than advertised! We hosted a post-wedding breakfast for 35 with no problem.
The property manager, Molly, could not have been more accommodating and responsive. We highly recommend this property and may return for a long weekend in the fall or for a holiday dinner with family from Maryland.
I spent the weekend here with a group of 11 people, family and friends. The house is spacious, gorgeous, comfortable, immaculate, and well-equipped. The location is lovely. It was perfect.
For 11 adults, most not in couples, it was helpful that we brought a couple of twin-sized air mattresses with linens. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 with queen beds and one with two twins. Two of the bedrooms are lovely spacious suites. There's a sleep-sofa in an upstairs public area that would work for a couple of children. And the house has a queen air mattress.
Everything we needed and more.
Fantastic experience. Plenty of room to be apart or together as we needed. Loved the parlor and game room off the great room. Room in the kitchen to gather, and also the porch looking over the wide lawn to the water. Lots to explore and enjoy. Nothing bad to say.
Beautiful property, very nicely appointed!
My family and I flew in for a wedding and stayed at the Federal Twist House. The property and accommodations exceeded our expectations! Molly thought of everything in making sure our stay was comfortable. We thought we'd have to stop at a store to get some essentials, but she had everything we needed on hand! We had time for one family dinner and used the grill, and all of us fit at the large farm table in the dining room. The grounds are beautiful, and we wished we were able to stay longer! All of us were thoroughly impressed, and we will definitely recommend this house and property to anyone needing a place to stay!
Beautiful house and property! We couldn’t have enjoyed it more!
Perfect location for a college reunion! The only thing lacking was enough “T.P.” for 10 people for the 3-day weekend :-)
