Beautiful house, one of the original in Baltmore with probably the nicest garden. Stunning sea views and one of the best locations about 10 mins walk from the village. About maria archer
I am from Ireland and from Dublin. I love cooking having family and friends around. I fell in love with Baltimore village the first time I stepped into it. The house was the only house I looked at and decided straight away that it was the only one that I wanted to see. It has a lovely warm feel that tells of a happy house that has many happy times and memories.
maria archer purchased this Chateau / Country House in 1996
Why maria archer chose Baltimore
The location is ideal - it is quiet and peaceful, coffee on the terrace looking out at the sea and the boats is just perfect. It is a short walk to the village which has great restaurants and pubs, a playground. Great walks to the beacon. The house itself is really comfortable and perfect for relaxing, the kitchen is ideal for family dinners and entertaining. The garden at the back of the house has lots of herbs for cooking. An outside sink for cleaning fish etc. and a wetroom bathroom - ideal for sailors. The garden is perfect for children playing and bar b ques. It is probably the prettiest garden in the area and full of flowers to be picked for the house all year round.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The two sitting rooms allow for everyone to have space, whether it is grandparents, friends visiting or children playing. The open fire whether needed for warmth just adds a great relaxing, ambiance and we light it all year round. the views are just food for the soul and ideal for a mental break as well as a physical. Charming house in idyllic location
This a charming house in a quiet cove within easy reach of the bustling village of Baltimore but secluded and with its own charm. This was our second stay and we had a wonderful time specially enjoying the new outdoor seating and morning or afternoon tea on the shady lawn surrounded by trees and flowers. This is the best location in Baltimore and we look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful, charming and cozy New England-style coastal cottage
I am writing to tell you how much we were charmed and loved our stay at your beautiful house. The house was extremely cozy and beautifully decorated with vintage prints, paneled walls and warm throws and bedding. The cottage style kitchen was equipped with everything we could ever want or need. The washing machine and dryer were very useful in addition to the wet room outside. We loved our breakfast in the suntrap of a garden, on the swing among the rose bushes. We swam at full tide and I walked to the Beacon daily. We also very much appreciated the bottle of wine you left for us. The sun room and sitting room were so cozy and allowed the family to spread out and watch TV according to taste. The Wifi in the house was extremely helpful. It is clear we were privileged guests in a much loved family home. We appreciate you making this lovely environment available for the enjoyment of others. Thank you so much. We will hopefully return next year. Kind regards Julie Gibbons
Julie, thank you so much for your kind words, the house is to be enjoyed and I am happy that you were comfortable and happy and look forward to coming next year.

The house is so welcoming, as soon as we arrived we lit the fire and felt immediately at home. It has everything that we needed and more. The views as we sat at the kitchen table out to the garden and the sea was beautiful. We enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine and were warm and cosy. We loved the nautical theme and the beautiful flowers that greater us in the garden and in the house. It was s fabulous weekend and we didn't want to leave! We will be back.
