Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with stunning sea views from nearly every room

This wonderful duplex penthouse apartment utilises it's elevated position to offer spectacular views across St Ives Bay. With it's own private terrace it is the perfect escape for both couples and families that seek a luxury holiday home close to beaches.

Internally the apartment is a delightful, spacious, modern penthouse with wifi, terrace and sea views from nearly every room. Property features include a modern, fully equipped kitchen with French doors leading out on to a private terrace with sea views. A dining room with Juliet balcony. A light and spacious living room and conservatory again with French doors leading out to the terrace. A shower room and hallway with stairs leading up to a beautiful master bedroom suite and second bedroom with twin beds. The main family bathroom has a separate shower cubicle, bath, WC, & basin.

Externally there is a private, spacious terrace with incredible sea views perfect for Al Fresco dining, sunbathing or watching the sunset. There is also the added benefit of a garage.

Local Facilities: The nearest supermarket is a Tesco which is less than a 5 minute drive off the main A3074 road in to St Ives. There are also banks, hairdressers, a post office, newsagents and general stores all a short walk away. During the day when on the beach there is a café, shop and food outlet.

Attractions: A great location for couples and smaller families. Carbis Bay really does give you the best of both worlds. The peace and quiet of Compass Point yet only a short distance away from the vibrant town of St Ives.

Further a field Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, beautiful Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Port Isaac (filming of TV show Doc Martin), Newquay (indoor Water World), & St Austell (Eden Project) are all within easy reach either by Car or Train.

Other Activities: Live theatre, cinema, Tate Gallery, museums, bars, restaurants, clubs, and shopping.

The penthouse apartment is situated on the second floor, and access is via a flight of 29 steps. There is also one flight of stairs internally with 12 steps as the apartment is a duplex. There is a security video entrance system. The apartment comes with it's own garage for an average sized car (length 4.7m x width 2.10m x height 1.9m). There are also visitor and disabled parking spaces available. We provide complimentary wireless internet for all guests. There is a useful information folder including a list of local restaurants, comprehensive tourist information and train timetable all to enable you to make the most of your holiday. ****GREAT OPTION FOR LARGER FAMILIES **** We are now able to accommodate larger families of up to 8 guests in 2 adjacent penthouses. Wunderschönes Ferienappartment

Das Ferienappartment bietet einen spektakulären Blick auf die Carbis Bay. Der Zustand der Wohnung und die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, wir haben nichts vermisst. Das wir die schönen Plätze auf der Terrasse leider nicht nutzen konnten, lag am regnerischen und stürmischen Wetter. Ansonsten wäre dies sicher ein sehr schöner Platz gewesen, um von dort z. B. die Abendstimmung mit Blick auf das Wasser zu genießen. Mit der Bahn, die fast direkt vorm Haus liegt, ist man in 3 Minuten in St.Ives. Da kann man sehr gut auf das Auto verzichten, wenn man nach St. Ives möchte. Die Informationen von Lucy waren alle sehr hilfreich. Sie hat uns zweimal besucht und immer wieder ihre Unterstützung angeboten. Eine sehr nette Betreuung. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und können diese Unterkunft in vollem Umfang jedem empfehlen.

Perfect in every way

Lucy was there to meet us and show us in. The property is exactly as shown in the photos, which was fab. The views are to die for. The apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The bed really comfy and the towels soft. Perfect. Got to everywhere we wanted by train which was great and only £1 and 4 mins into st Ives. We had a wonderful week and really didn't want to leave. Lucy is the perfect host and communication with her throughout the booking was second to none. Thanks for a week to remember and we will be back

Gorgeous views in peaceful and beautiful apartment

We loved this property and our hostess, Lucy, was readily available from the beginning to answer all of our questions & give us loads of information and great tips. From side trips to restaurant choices, all her recommendations were amazing. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very spacious with a huge balcony and sunroom, where the views of Carbis Bay and St. Ives are just incredible. There is very little noise, even though we were there in the high season. The two bathrooms are large and modern, the kitchen is first-class, and there are plenty of activities--books, puzzles, a collection of DVDs, Internet and cable, though mostly we just looked out at the view. Also of great help, the train is a 5 minute walk downhill and it's a 4 minute inexpensive train ride to Carbis Bay. This was ideal for us because we didn't want to be in a crowded city but we wanted to be close enough to go in daily for meals and groceries. You can also catch the hop-on hop-off bus at the top of the road or walk to a Tesco's supermarket (30 minute walk), but it's a strenuous climb uphill. A note about this: this apartment requires some degree of physical fitness. It's a short climb up from the train station but not a difficult one, though if you are carrying groceries, just note there are also 2 short flights of stairs. The beach is a 5 minute walk down from the flat and it's beautiful, clear and clean, not too crowded. The coastal path route in both directions is also just a five minute walk from the place, and these walks can go along the cliffs or down to the various coves--they are simply stunning and make for wonderful exercise. There is climbing in spots but it's not that strenuous if you take your time--the views are absolutely worth it. Just remember, every time you go to the beach, you do need to come back up. There are plenty of activities in St. Ives, lots of wonderful restaurants, cafes and interesting shopping, so really the location couldn't be more ideal. If you don't want to hike to the top of Boskerris Road, you can also catch the coastal tour buses in St. Ives by taking the train in. Those tour buses are really worth it--you get a great sense of the Cornish coast.

This was an amazing property with so much to offer-loads of space & comfort, but really the best thing was having a hostess like Lucy who goes far beyond what's expected to make sure you have a wonderful experience. We gladly give it 5 stars & would stay here again!

Everything was perfect!

We also can accept online payments but please note the terms are slightly different with a 50% non refundable deposit due straight away and then the remaining 50% is due again 60 days prior to your holiday start date. Full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 60 days prior.
