The whole villa is designed to give flexibility and comfort for our holiday guests.
The villa was designed by the chief architect of Paphos some years ago and built on three terraces of a disused vineyard. The unique design using the several levels provides adaptable accommodation. If only two people are staying in the villa it does not feel too large. When the villa has a larger party the third bedroom is certainly more private being self contained and having the extra sitting room and the kitchen facilities with a quiet private terrace with the views to enjoy. All views to the sea from the different levels of the villa are lovely. The beautiful paved courtyard with wonderful crimson red bougainvillea around the walls, and the lemon blossom, orange and tangerine trees and lots of flowers is something very special.
In front of the villa are two fields that we purchased more than ten years ago. It cannot be built on except by our family. This ensures our views.
The Cyprus people, especially in Pissouri are very warm, generous, hospitable and friendly. Many locals speak good English but they do enjoy any Greek responses! The Tavernas, each have their individual character and all use lots of local fresh produce. The village salads and fried Halloumi Cheese are great
So Margarita Villa is a very special villa built in a lovely village.
We stayed in Villa Margarita for two wonderful weeks. All the rooms were really clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need. A real home from home. Off the living area there is a lovely large terrace with great views to the sea. The bedrooms had comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathrooms, all four of them including the one at the pool were clean with lots of towels provided. The outside space was fantastic, with fruit trees, patio areas with bbq and a really great pool with little kitchen area, good for nice cold drinks at the pool. Pissouri Village is a 2 minute stroll away, with some lovely restaurants and tavernas. The Bunch of Grapes is a must, as is Leo Sparti pub for drinks. The beach is a 5 minute drive away, with more nice places to eat. Kastros was good, and some water sports but not too many. We found pissouri to be the ideal place to explore the island, being only 30 minutes away from both Paphos and Limasol. The Troodos Mountains are breathtaking. All in all, a fantastic village with lovely people and a great villa. What more could you ask for?
Pissouri Village is set on a hillside about 900m above the sea with dramatic views of the surrounding countryside, the Troodos Mountains, Akrotiri Peninsula and the sea towards Aphrodite's Rock.
The village square with traditional coffee shops has a selection of charming tavernas serving local food. There is a weekly Cyprus Night in the square with a display of Greek dancing and music.
The beautiful Bay of Pissouri with the deep blue Mediterranean sea gently lapping onto the beach is the ideal resort. Swimming on a designated Blue Flag beach is enjoyed by all the holiday visitors. Relaxing on a sun bed under a beach umbrella is perfect. On the fringe of the beach are tavernas serving refreshing drinks and delicious local dishes. Water sports, such as sailing, wind surfing, water skiing, with private lessons, are available.
Nearby are many ancient Greek and Roman temples, villas and mosaics at Curium, Kouklia and Paphos.
Pissouri is such a restful and warm place to holiday in.
