Would be beautiful in the summer......
Beautiful location, would be great in the summer time. Owner never advertised that the heat and hot water would not keep up. Heat and hot water is off peak. Heat would only turn on after 10pm, so we hung blankets on the windows and brought our own space heaters, we ran out of hot water after one shower and one load of dishes. It made for a very cold weekend. Would be great in the summer, as long as you like ice cold showers. Other then that it was clean and kept up, basically had anything we could think of for cooking.
We have owned this property for many years and have utilized VRBO for 6 years to share the experience with other as our guest.
When guests arrive we greet them at the property explains everything. This guest we especifically explained the heating system, we have a duel fuel, off peak heating and freedom hot water. This means the during peak times, typically very cold/hot time "some". Heat can be turned off for short periods.
The guest comments are confusing because 2 people from the group told me it was 90 in their bedroom when they woke up.
Receiving 2 stars is a complete slap in the face! This the problem with social media!
This property is nicely appointed and kept up. There were three couples and two singles sharing the house. We had both privacy and room to gather. This house is perfect for larger groups and accommodates all the necessary food and drink for larger groups. The view from the deck is wonderful and relaxing. We had a great time!
This place is the perfect destination. Went with the family snowmobiling on the lake and a lot of the many miles of trails. The Boathouse has everything you need and very spacious. While there don't forget to check out The Landing for prime rib.
Awesome place for the whole family!!
Great place for the whole family! We had almost all rooms in this place occupied without issue. The property was clean and the grounds well maintained. We love the view of the lake from the house and multi level walkway. The owners were very friendly and accommodating! For parties large and small the Boathouse is the way to go on the Cook end of Lake Vermillion!! Highly recommend checking out the Landing for food and drinks that is very close to the Boathouse.
Great snowmobile getaway.
Great for a group of snowmobiles. It is very private. The Boathouse is close to the Landing restaurant and trails. It has the up north feeling with everything you need. It is very clean & well taken care of. Matt & Tony are great hosts. We have been there several times, year after year.
Unbelievable views and incredible home!
Had the opportunity to spend some time at The Boathouse. We were thoroughly impressed by the overall cleanliness of the property, groomed flowers and property maintenance. We were politely greeted by the owners, whom oriented us to the property and all the great amenities the property has to offer. We spent most days on the beautiful lake, but most nights inside the home. The rooms were spacious and each bedroom had its own bathrooms (a plus for our family!). DirecTV, internet and washing machine/dryer made our experience great and we even watched movies on Netflix and Hulu. We had a BBQ almost every night to the calm, peaceful sounds of the lake. Even saw some fireworks across the bay!
We are excited to return in future and recommend this property!
