Stunning mountain setting close to Soller

  • 4 of 5

We were 3 adults, staying for a week in late September. It was a very comfortable stay, in an amazing mountain setting.

The house is on the back/southern slope of the Soller valley, with a view over the town and to the sea. Stunning scenery, with the mountains all around, and the sound of goats bells in the fields around the house. It feels remote and private, but yet you are only 15 minutes’ walk from the main square and the tram station. You do of course have the steep walk up to the house from town, but it’s fine if you are reasonably fit. We had a hire car, which was not absolutely necessary, but useful for carrying groceries etc up the hill, and trips out of Soller (we went to Deia and Torrent de Pareis). The nearest grocery is around the town centre (i.e. 15 minutes’ walk), and there is a bigger one a bit further away (Eroski). There is space for parking at the house. The streets in Soller are very narrow, so a smaller car is recommended! The tram is available for trips to the port/beach, or you can take a taxi, which is quicker and cheaper.

The house itself has a rustic feel, but is very comfortable: all one 1 floor, with 3 good sized bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin), 2 bathrooms (1 big, 1 small). There is a good sized kitchen and living room area. The kitchen is well equipped: cooker, microwave, dishwasher, etc. There were basic cooking ingredients as well (herbs, spices, cooking oil, etc.) There are TVs in the living room and 1 of the bedrooms (not wide/flat screen though), and satellite TV. The house has WIFI/Internet, which was fine.

At the front of the house, there is a sunny patio/terrace garden, with lots of space for relaxing/entertaining. There are several tables and chairs (and loungers), so you can dine al fresco. There is a BBQ, though we did not use it. The pool was the only slight disappointment for us, as it and the area around it could have done with a bit of a spruce up. Apparently there had been a lot of rain prior to our arrival, which contributed to its condition.

Silke the owner was friendly and helpful. She met us in Soller, and we followed her to the house as it is not easy to find. She gave us advice on eating out and things to do and see.

All in all, we had a great stay at the house. Comfortable, serene, with those amazing views, and yet still close to town. Recommended.

Wonderful. Rustic but comfortable getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful relaxing holiday at this villa in June. I must admit this hadn't been my first choice as the pictures weren't that exciting. However my expectations were exceeded 1000 times as the current pictures don't do it justice at all. It was perfect for us.

The location is absolutely stunning - you have a view of all of Soller & even can see the sea in the distance. Our only neighbours were just a few sheep & goats so it was really very private & peaceful. It was a wonderful way to relax just hanging out round the house, soaking up the sun & the atmosphere...

The property has a wonderful rustic charm but it is also extremely well equipped, comfortable & spotlessly clean. Particularly loved bathroom with stunning view across the valley. Wifi was handy too so I could send pictures to my friends & make them jealous!

It's extremely convenient as it is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Soller old town. It is quite a steep incline so you do need to be relatively fit - we would walk in & get a taxi back in the evening which worked well for us. The drive through Soller is also via narrow streets but once you get used to it, its fine.

We really felt so at home here....my only complaint was how hard this made it to leave!! I think from now on we will just have to treat it like a second home & come back as often as we can!!!

In the heart of real Mallorca

  • 5 of 5

Location is great outside, above but close to the center of Soller. Amazing views from all the the terrace and villa between mountains and sea. Rustic house but missing nothing. Everything is done with much generosity and intention. Juan is taking care of everything and Silke provided warm welcome. We definitely feel good in staying in this house.

Muy buena

  • 4 of 5

Casita de estilo rustico en plena serra de tramuntana. Rodeada de montañas en un entorno natural precioso. Disfrutamos del silencio por las noches a pesar de star a pocos minutos del centro de Sóller. El personal muy atento nos trataron muy bien.

Tolle Aussichten

  • 3 of 5

Die Lage oberhalb von Sóller ist wie in der Beschreibung einfach nur großartig. Der Weg zum Haus ist einfach zu finden und die Straßen auch nicht zu eng. Was man in Sóller nicht immer vorfindet.

Spectacular view!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I spent 2 weeks in this charming house with the most spectacular view of the mountains, Soller and even the sea.

We enjoyed the privacy and yet we were only a 15 minutes walk from the centre of Soller and a 5 minutes busdrive from there to Puerto Soller. There were 6 of us, so we decided not to have a car as we would need a large car to fit all of us, instead we walked up and down from the village and considered it the day's exercise, however you do to be quite fit to walk up.

The house is very spacious and very well equipped, the fridge is large enough for 6 persons, which is not always the case in holiday homes and the internet connection worked without problems at all.

The pool has a good size and is very nice to have during the hot summer days.

Silke, who was our contact person i Soller is extremely helpful and serviceminded and she made us feel very welcome from the very beginning.

In total a very good experience :-)
