Single story Cape cottage overlooking kettle pond. Rear window wall and sliders looks out at wraparound rear deck which overlooks the Pond. Original knotty pine, throughout, inside which gives a rare 1949 "Olde Cape Cod Charm" to your stay. The rear window wall offers a continuous vista of a glacially formed Cape Cod "Kettle Pond"
Landscaping stairs lead down to the private sandy beach on the Pond. A wood dock allows access fishing and boat access. Jenkins Pond is noted for excellent fishing, swimming, and boating (non-power). The Pond is approximately 1 mile long and 0.1 mile wide. Falmouth has a great downtown, with quant but updated shops and restaurants. The downtown also offers easy access to Martha's Vineyard and Woods Hole Ferries. Falmouth also boasts some excellent ocean beaches, including Shining Sea Bike Path, and 15 minutes to the Cape Cod Canal Bike Path, Old Silver Beach (arguably the Cape's best beach on Buzzard's Bay), and Town Beach, which are less than 6 miles away; and Falmouth Mall, Cape Cod Winery which are within 3 miles. Kayaks, canoe, row dingy, and paddleboat and paddle board available.
PLEASE NOTE: Given the cottage is in a seasonal tourist location, we tend to avoid booking weekends in the summer for stays less than 3 nights. We do consider shorter stays toward late spring, if it is available.
