Beautiful small house for 4 people, quiet in the heart of Paris. In a small courtyard with flowers and trees many plants and shrubs will take you to this artist's house completely redone with a Designer Architect. The entrance leads to a kitchen, then leads to the workshop where stands a magnificent double glazed canopy. This window provides high brightness and charm to the place. The workshop offers all the comforts for your stay and more. You can watch the starry sky lying in bed under the canopy roof; the piano is also available. Linens needed for your stay is provided to you.
I spent two weeks in Paris. I loved the little studio on Rue Vaugirard. It was convenient to a multitude of Metro lines. It was very quiet and comfortable. I was traveling alone and felt very secure there. I loved the skylight windows. Fans made it wonderfully comfortable during a few days of unseasonably warm weather.
The check-in/check-out procedure went smoothly. The apartment was located in a safe neighborhood with two separate locked exterior doors that lead from the street, to an interior corridor, to the courtyard and entrance to the apartment. There were metro stations and bus stops within walking distance, as well as grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, and a laundromat.
The apartment itself is really quite small, but it was neat, clean, and acceptable for 2 adults and a child. The WiFi and cable TV worked well, and we enjoyed watching some DVD's and playing the piano. Everything in the kitchen was in working order, but we could have used a few more cereal bowls and water glasses. The shower was a tight fit for a 6 foot tall man, but it was fine for the shorter family members. Unfortunately the couch was not very clean, and the pullout bed was extremely uncomfortable. The only other disappointment was the lack of windows that could be left open while we were gone, so it was always very warm and stuffy after being closed up all day. We would have enjoyed another fan or two for the warm evenings. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
The flat has a great location in a quiet part of the classy 6th arrondissement. A designer took a small space and cleverly turned it into a functional studio flat. Our family of three found the space adequate, but four people might be crowded there. Tall people be warned. Not only is it difficult to reach the loft bedroom without hitting your head or scraping your back, but the shower is quite a challenge for anyone taller than an average height. The flat appears to be run by a hands-off management company who, we felt, were not attentive to our needs. Although we had the personal number of a woman named Roxana who was very precise and strict about our arrival time, she felt it was acceptable, rather than meeting us herself, to send an assistant who kept me waiting for half an hour after the agreed-upon arrival time. He was not familiar enough with the flat to the extent that he could not explain how the television worked, and although he was pleasant and professional, he was not well informed, nor could he identify me as the guest even though I was the guy standing in the courtyard with a suitcase. When we called Roxana afterwards to tell her about this problem (which was much more of a problem for our twelve-year-old daughter than for her parents), she told us to read the instructional manual. So if you are expecting personal attention from a home owner who has pride in their personal property, that is not the situation with this flat.
We spend a very nice time in this cozy apartament the last week of April 2016.
Well maintain . The sink faucet was losed but it got reppaired after a couple of days.
Something was also wrong with the TV connection that we could not put to work, but
I suppose Roxana have solved that after our departure.
Very good location. Could have some cleaning work done in the hall toward the entrance of the
apartament. Gourgeous inside but definitly have to give it a second thought If you are
over 50 because bed is upstairs and bathroom downstairs.
The apartment is in a very central and good location, close to the Metro, shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was clean and well outfitted, except operation of the TV was challenging. The upper level sleeping area is really only appropriate for a child since the roof slopes over the bed, leaving little head room and my traveling companion bumped her head a number of times. Also, the ladder up to the second level was tricky and a little unsafe in my opinion. The owner was very nice and helpful. Given the size of the apartment and layout, I would recommend it for a couple and child, or a single and child.
Convenient location close to metro, stores, markets, etc. Charming apartment, with abundant natural light thanks to the skylight (which can be covered easily if you want to sleep in.) Safe neighborhood. The apartment is small, but beautifully designed, perfect for one or two.
