Great location with humidity issues
Great location in central Paris.
Nice ammenities nearby.
Various metro station options.
Apartment had substantial humidity / condensation issues - only real drawback.
Thank you for you're appreciation. Of course there is humidity if you don't open at all the windows or the door and you put the heatings at maximum, it's a open roof that need air in order not to condensate especially during the winter.
We loved the tiny apartment in Montparsse in lower Paris. The food everywhere was amazing, fantastic access to metros. It was a very Parisian area. Felt TOTALLY safe at all hours of the night. A few tips for Americans traveling to this rental: 1) you absolutely must have mobility. You'll climb up some very narrow stairs to get to the bed. You also have to lean down really far to get into the bed so you don't bump your head. 2) if you're over 6 feet tall you're in trouble! The bathroom is not tall people friendly. 3)Our family of four (with two teens) fit just fine but that's only because teens can sleep anywhere. They slept on the pullout couch which there's no way I would have done. 4) Make sure you leave the sky windows open when you're gone during the day or the place will get really humid. As long as you know these things then you will adore this place. The owner was really nice and tried everything he could to accommodate us. The BEST part of this rental is where it is! You couldn't have it any better at the price!
Not livable at high temperatures
Good location but uninhabitable when outside temperatures are over 75 F. It was a good 10 degrees hotter inside than the 97 F outside. Two fans were not enough and the humidity was such the three towels never dried. Also we had to pick beteen light in the toilet or the upstairs since a lightbulb had burnt out. Bring your shampoo etc. ...
thanks for you're appreciation. If you don't open no window it's normal that the air is not ventilated and it's humid and warm. Also for the shampoo it's the first time a client complains because usually when you go in vacation and you rent a flat you take you're own shampoos and soap, but we will provide for the next ones just in case they will forgot their own.
Everything we needed
Secure and quite location in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Close to shops, markets, restaurants and the Metro/train. Quite neighbors.
Light and Bright. Great Central Location. Close to Metro and Velolib.
Very Clean and convenient . Host was kind, a good communicator and promt. Good and clear instructions. Stayed for a week and loved it.
Wonderful apartment in really nice part of town!
This apartment was wonderful for the both of us. With nearby restaurants, boulangerie, and grocery stores, this was a wonderful refuge from daily tourism. Best thing is that great restaurants have reasonable fixed price menus during the day for lunch. We'd come home in the evenings after a day at the museums and enjoy some wine, fresh baguette, cheese and sliced meats. If we were too tired for that we would head up to a local cafe. Note that the bed is on the second floor with a narrow ladder, but that was OK for both of us. We loved this place and would be happy to come back again! Owner Vince was very helpful and responsive to all our questions.
