About the property

The terraced house consists of a ground floor with a patio and a first floor with the bedroom(s) and another bathroom. The house has been recently refurbished and it is in very good condition. Its walls being of dry stone make warm in winter and fresh in summer.

One of the rooms is a very spacious room with an outward facing window and equipped with a double bed (150 x 190 cm2) . The other room, of smaller dimensions (3,1 x 2,6 m2) is equipped with two single beds (90 x 190 cm2) and is an interior room. All beds are new and the mattresses are of visco-elastic material. The patio measures 5,4 x 2,9 m2 and is equipped with exterior dining room furniture. This house is the ideal gateway for a couple, with or without children, who is looking to enjoy a quiet and comfortable stay.

Although I was born in this lovely and charming village I lived in London many years. After those London years I realized this village was the place where I wanted to live my life. The quality of life is just fantastic: weather is just great, the sea is marvellous, food is delicious, you can practice many sports including trekking, biking, climbing, diving, sailing etc...

This property is situated at only 100m from the centre of Santanyí a small charming village (5000 inhabitants) which has become very cool and trendy in the last 10 years.

The focal point/core of the house is the patio with plenty of space and plants and with stylish wooden furniture.

The house was built many years ago in dry stone which gives it a lot of character. In addition, its thick dry stone walls make it warm in winter and fresh in summer.

The house is located in the centre of Santanyí, a charming village on the south coast of Mallorca, at 50Km from the capital (Palma de Mallorca) and at 40 Km from the airport. You can get to Santanyí by bus but it is very advisable to rent a car (you can hire it at the airport) in order to move around freely. The village provides guests with all the essentials they may need during their stay; shops, supermarkets, stores, pharmacies etc… as well as numerous bars and restaurants of high quality and with prices to suit every pocket. In addition, Santanyí is famous for its twice weekly food and artisans market that takes place in the centre every Wednesday and Saturday.

The landscape of the surroundings of Santanyí are both rural and coastal. It has two natural parks (Mondragó and Cabrera) and excellent beaches with in ten or 15 minutes drive.

At only 4 Km from the centre of Santanyí you have the Mondragó Natural park with two excellent beaches and numerous trekking routes inside the local flora and fauna.

At only 5km from the centre you have numerous excellent beaches (just type them in the google image search engine): Cala Santanyí (3,5 Km), S’Amarador y Mondragó (6 Km), Cala Llombards (6 Km), Cala S’Almonia ( 7 Km), Es Caló d’es Moro ( 7 Km), es Caragol (13 Km) y es Trenc (17 Km).

Also at only 5km you have the small fishermen harbour of Cala Figuera famous for its charm and its numerous restaurants. Within 15 minutes drive (12 Km) you have the harbour of Porto Petro, also very charming. In these villages you can practice a big number of aquatic sports like sailing, windsurf, diving, kayac, etc…

At 7Km from the coast you find the Natural Park of the archipelago de Cabrera. You can get there by boat from the harbours of Porto Petro (12 Km) and Colònia de Sant Jordi (14 Km). In this park you can enjoy the beach (the water there is fantastic) as well as several trekking routes or visiting historical sites. You can also dive in Cabrera provided you have booked your diving excursion on the Mallorca shore with trained staff.

Also, the cliffs of the coast of the Santanyí municipality are famous in the world of climbing and rappel.

Lovely house in lovely village.

We had expected a cosy house in a great little village and this place lived up to our expectations. The house itself is modern, clean and well-equipped. Surprisingly spacious with comfy beds. There is no AC but we had the windows open and slept well.

The patio is great.

Plenty of parking nearby, as well as quality restaurants, bakeries and shops. Convenient location. Cala Santanyi is just minutes away by car.

A little gem. We really recommend this house.

A place to visit in Summer ...

We spent New Year in this lovely apartment in Santanyi. It was decorated in a style that appealed to us and had everything one could possibly require. Unfortunately, there were heavy rains the week before which the wooden doors (front and back) soaked up the water and made them difficult to open/close. We can imagine in Summer sitting out the back with the doors open, enjoying the Mallorca sunshine but in winter this of course is not possible and we did find that the heating provided was not quite adequate to keep us and this 2-story apartment warm. The boiler was not quite big enough and hence did not manage to provide 2 people with 2 warm showers in the morning, in the rather small bathroom. This was a good value for money apartment very close to everything in the picturesque village of Santanyi and can see it being very comfortable in the warmer summer season.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your comment. Your feedback is of the upmost importance for us since it is the main way to improve our service. We will definetly change the boiler for a bigger one and we will trimm the doors so they can easily be opened and closed. We will also try to improve the heating system. Downstairs there is a heat pump and upstairs there are electrical radiators. Thanks again

What a fantastic holiday home!

We had such a lovely time here - the house is lovely, simply but tastefully furnished, well equipped and extremely clean. Santanyi is a lovely little town, with everything you need within a few minutes walk, and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. You're spoilt for choice for nice beaches too - but Es Trenc is especially recommended. The owners are friendly and helpful. We were very sorry to leave! Highly recommended.

A perfect place to stay offside the main tourist hotspots of Mallorca in the center of the beautiful town of Santanyi. Very cozy, house with beautiful terrace in a beautiful mediterranean style and a mixture of modern and traditional furniture including a first class kitchen. 6 out of 5 stars!

Lovely again

It was like coming home. Everything was clean and tidy again. As it was supposed to be very sunny and hot we asked from an umbrella for the patio. The next day a sunsail was hanging in the courtyard. Perfect customer service. Thanks again for a great stay. All the best

Lovely townhouse

The house is lovely renovated with taste. The Patio is really great to enjoy breakfast and diner or to catch some sunrays. The location is in a quire street, parking in front of the house, 3 minutes walk to the cathedrale. The kitchen is well stocked even salt, sugar etc. are around. The hosts are very kind and helpful. We look forward to our next stay in May.
