Family Getaway for a wedding.
Beautiful home, all the amenities you need but in the most amazing, well decorated home. We loved it. Norma made my entire family feel welcome. The home reminded me of why Nova Scotia is a special place.
Friends had a great time in central location
We ha 3 couples who wanted to see several sites in central Nova Scotia. The pearl was a great home base to see PEI, Fundy etc. we did the tidal bore rafting which was a blast. The best was when we cooked live lobsters and mussels at the pearl. Wish we would have had one more day just to stay at the pearl and take advantage of all the things at the pearl.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Tidnish Pearl. We were charmed by the extras that we discovered on our arrival: fresh flowers, homemade bread and jam, a fruit bowl and milk and cream in the fridge. There was every imaginable kitchen appliance and utensil. The house was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch, the dining table and BBQ on the back deck and the back lawn for games and fire pit. Lots of information about local sites and activities. We got great lobsters at Chase Lobster Pound. We were a group of 6 adults but the house would not feel crowded with a slightly bigger group. A printed copy of 'What goes Where' for garbage, recycling and composting would have been helpful. We would stay at this house again.
A lovely home capturing the history of Tidnish
My family enjoyed the spaciousness and charm of the Tidnish Pearl. It was decorated thoughtfully with touches from pre-1900 to modern. It was lovely to be greeted with a basket of locally baked bread and local wine - both enjoyed. The Pearl has a formal sitting area with lots of room - enjoyable for an afternoon read on the few days it rained. I think the feature most enjoyed was the covered porch and rocking chairs - a wonderful spot for morning coffees. The grounds were well manicured and became the location of choice for a family picture shoot. All in all a lovely stay
Great Location! Three Provinces in One Trip
Hard to say anything negative about the Tidnish Pearl! Norma was informative and quick to respond, from questions before booking right up to the entry/access information. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a welcome basket of all the essentials, and a treat for our daughter.
The location is great for day-tripping. You could plan something different every day for probably three weeks. We were able to see parts of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI, which was a really unique experience.
There are lots of great, warm beaches nearby as well.
Perfect in so many ways...
I just can't say enough about how 'set-up' and ready to go, this place is. It was a wonderful experience. Norma and her family made it feel like home. Do not hesitate...
