This beautiful newly renovated post and beam home sits on the Atlantic Ocean side of Low Beach Road. This family home is open and inviting. The living room has 2 distinct areas: a Steinway Baby Grand Piano area with a small couch, chairs and TV/internet access; the main living room area consists of a gas fire place, large comfortable L shape couch and unique swivel chairs that both kids and adult find fun! The large fully equipped kitchen houses a subzero refrigerator and a Wolf gas range. No need to go out!
Off the kitchen is an enclosed deck with a rectangular table that can seat 12 and an additional round table that can seat 6.
French Doors lead you from the living room to an expansive deck - great for sunning at all times of the day. Oversized chairs, a BBQ and large dining table allow for outdoor meals or parties. There is a large outdoor shower area at the end of the deck. Step off the low deck, cross the grassy lawn and head down to the beach -- about 150 yards. This expansive beach is great for sunrise or sunset walking, running, sunning or viewing the curious seals.
This is a great home for one or two families as there are two master bedrooms. One master is on the main floor with a king bed and bathroom/shower. The second master is upstairs with king bed that looks out through French doors to a small deck with grand ocean views. The upstairs queen bedroom has a wonderful larger deck, more French doors, and a brilliant 180 degree unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. This bedroom gets wonderful morning light. A very unique view for Nantucket. The third upstairs bedroom is cozy with twin beds. An additional bathroom upstairs. Plus an adorable sitting area.
The home is beautifully landscaped front and back ... a finished shed to the south of the house provides 2 day beds for lounging or sleeping. The main house has a large basement area with 3 daybeds... a great place for kids to hang out in.
The house is very livable, spacious and surrounded by nature. It is completely private. Views abound at every turn.
One mile north on Low Beach Road- a short walk or bike ride - and you are in Siaconset - a darling 17th century fishing village with rambling rose covered cottages, market, post office and a few wonderful restaurants… for both quick lunch or fine dining.
36 Low Beach Road was home to my Mom and Dad who lovingly shared many summer memories with their 13 grandkids and my siblings. It is truly a remarkable and unique spot.
