About Katie Vasicek
My husband and I are Bay Area natives. We have lived most of our lives in Northern California, but have also lived abroad for five years in Europe. For the past 10 years, we've made Marin county our home. We are an active family of four and we love to ski, hike, bike, and swim. We also love the arts and traveling the world.
Katie Vasicek purchased this House in 2016
Why Katie Vasicek chose Kenwood
We always dreamed of having a spacious get-away in the wine country where our family can enjoy the beautiful outdoor surroundings and activities, the warmth of the California valley sun, and outdoor living.
What makes this House unique
Kenwood is a charming little town set among the surrounding rolling hills and vineyards. It is easy to explore the neighborhood by walking to numerous wine tasting rooms, and local eateries (Palooza, Café Citti, La Cucina at VJB Cellars), or shop for groceries at the Kenwood market and visit the nearby parks and playgrounds. The property is a 15 minute walk to Kenwood and Chateau St. Jean wineries

wonderful retreat with a beautiful pool!
The home is as good as advertised!
A big thank you to Katie the owner was very receptive very helpful and did an excellent job of preparing the home for guests. We had everything we needed. There’s a convenient store within walking distance not to mention some top vineyards are within a 2 mile radius of the home. Some of the best tastings we did all weekend. Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of toys for the pool which was amazing! I would bring my friends and stay here again without hesitation.
Great wine county getaway
This is a fantastic property that is tastefully decorated, well maintained and very clean. Great location for exploring wine country! Our family loved staying here and would definitely return.
Nice spot for IM Santa Rosa
The place is great, very clean, very close to everywhere we wanted to go. Looking forward to our next race in Santa Rosa, and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Very nice property with easy access to many Sonoma wineries.
We truly enjoyed staying at this property. From the comfortable beds to the clean and well organized kitchen to the tasteful and fun artwork throughout, it's obvious that this home is very well taken care of and set up to make guests feel right at home. Katie's attention to detail in both the set up of the house and the check in/check out process was exemplary. My only (minor) complaint would be the family room setup. The furniture isn't very comfortable for long stretches of time but I'm guessing that most guests don't spend much time inside as the outdoor area is so inviting. Unfortunately, it rained a good portion of our time there so we ended up spending more time inside than anticipated. We hope to return sometime when we can take full advantage of the lovely porch and surrounding areas!
Fabulous Kenwood Rental
We stayed at this house over MLK weekend, and it was the perfect fit for my friends and me (3 couples). The house has vintage charm with recent upgrades, and everything within felt clean and new - well-styled too. Extra bonus points for a very well-stocked kitchen with every plate/cooking item you could need, and super comfy beds. The minute we walked the property - mid-January during a gray, drizzly weekend - we all decided we have to come back in the summer. Katie was fabulous - very communicative and friendly, always just a text away. Five big stars for this VRBO!
