Spacious and unbelievable views!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is incredible. The staff at the management company is extremely helpful. The view from the patio is spectacular. We bought some excellent, inexpensive takeaway food one night and ate on the balcony. We could see people at a fancy restaurant two streets over eating on their expensive balcony with the very same view! The floors needed another mopping - they looked clean but our socks got dirty from walking on the floors.

There are three bedrooms - two with two twin beds and one with a queen suite. The bathrooms are great although we did have a little trouble directing the shower heads at first so that we didn't spray water all over the floor - the water pressure is very strong.

The kitchen has a washing machine AND a separate dryer (sadly the controls were programmed in Czech? so please ask for help). Be sure to bring some laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent pods from home - a few were provided but we did a lot of laundry. I am sure they sell them in the grocery stores, but grocery stores are tough to find. We did not see a microwave although it could have been there. Many of the appliances were behind those panels that make everything look like cabinets.

The wifi was great and there was a TV with lots of stations. We only turned it on once.

The elevator works well although we could only fit 3 or 4 people in it at a time - not a big deal as we never saw anyone else use the elevator besides us.

The location is ideal for walking. Occasionally the uber drivers had a difficult time finding the building. Please note that Lisbon is city of hills and if you have difficulty walking, getting around will take more time. We used uber a lot because my mother has mobility issues. The building is very close to a stop on the Tram 28 line.

We walked to the waterfront and the Time Out Market food hall (highly recommended). You are also walking distance to the ferry to Cacilhas which has incredible outdoor cafes that serve the most amazing seafood. Next to the ferry is the tram which takes you to the Jeronimos monastery, multiple museums and the Belem pastry shop. We never used the metro but it is also located at the same place.

You can walk to the train station which takes you to the incomparable Sintra palace. If you plan it correctly you can also stop at the Queluz National Palace which looks like a mini Versailles. The staff there was incredibly kind - not many tourists either.

I wish we had stayed longer!
