Luxury Living in Harlem II - Sister Listing to Luxury Living in Harlem (484350)

MY COVID19 TESTING RESULTS AS OF JULY 2020 - Negative, no antibodies.
COVID PANDEMIC UPDATE - June 8, 2020:
After much thought and careful consideration, I have decided that Harlem Comfort II will not be accepting any reservations this year. Testing procedures have not been standardized to my satisfaction. I still do not know my own health status and, even though I have not felt unwell, for all I know, I could be an asymptomatic carrier of the virus. There is no vaccine available as of yet. Under these circumstances, the decision to shut down for the year was the only one I could feel comfortable making.
I am going to use this time off to determine my own health status and discuss appropriate self-care protocols with my doctor. I will also be reviewing and adjusting the cleaning and hygiene practices currently in place at HCII so that ANYBODY who enters this building - myself included - may do so without worrying about jeopardizing their health.
HCII wishes good health and longevity to all of our past and future guests. I will reach out early next year with another update. STAY SAFE!

Home in Harlem
Everything was seamless and effortless. Carolann is a gem! She was waiting for us when we arrived and even assisted with luggage. Carolann gave us a quick tour of everything, made sure we had numbers to contact her and then made her departure. I had a question the next day and she responded within minutes! She has thought of everything a traveler would need from food ready to eat upon arrival to toiletries you may have forgotten! Her place is also waliking distance to subway so we were able to get everywhere with ease. We felt right at home at Carolann's!

Great Harlem Getaway!
We loved our stay at Carolann's home! This was a "girls" weekend for a mother & daughter-in-law ultimate tourist trip. The apartment looks exactly like it does in the photos. There are stairs to get into the building, but once in this unit is on the main level. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and the central living space is cozy and inviting. The bathroom has been recently updated and the shower was hot with great water pressure. The location was walking distance to 2 different train lines, so we were able to get around Manhattan so easily. The best part of this listing is absolutely the host, Carolann! Her patience with our pre-trip questions and her attention to detail made our visit! She had goodies for us in the kitchen and was overall so easy to work with. Love the historic charm of the building and the neighborhood.

Convenience & comfort in Manhattan, NYC: Week of 9/18/19 - 9/25/19
Carolann is a very gracious and attentive VRBO property owner. As transplanted New Yorkers we appreciated her attention to details. The location of her property is great for access to lots of stuff in New York city. We had a delightful stay and we highly recommend this apartment for a NYC stay. Thanks Carolann & continued success Fondly, Jemma and Benjamin

A home away from home
A spacious apartment, located in a quiet neighbourhood, and furnished with old-world charm. What really made our stay memorable was the thoughtful owner, Carolann. From airport transfer to a well-stocked pantry, she had provided everything a guest might need. Our flight was late but she was there to welcome us. We came as strangers and left as friends.

I was born and raised in NYC and have lived here almost my entire life. My dad's old office was literally right next door to the world-famous Apollo Theatre, so my love affair with Harlem began early. I love the diversity and excitement of NYC! I think it is one of the best places in the world to live, especially if you cannot afford to travel. There are so many different cultures on display in NYC. And Harlem is in the midst of a second (third? fourth? twelfth?) renaissance which makes every day an adventure. Since I've lived in this neighborhood, I don't think I've ever been bored a day in my life.

Why they chose this property

The patterned tile floor of the vestibule, the spectacular woodwork which distinguishes the hallway and staircase; the fireplace with its pillars and tile work; the bay windows in the master bedroom - a brownstone is more than a building; it is a historical snapshot, a beautiful example of the elegance of a bygone era. This property is a living, vibrant museum. We manage and maintain it with a great deal of love.

What makes this property unique

While I would never want to be bored, I also appreciate peace and serenity. The stately beauty of this building has a very calming effect on its residents which makes it very easy to relax after an exciting day of life in the big city.
