Pineapple Cottage was cute, good location and slept a family of 5 comfortably!
Cute, great location, Pineapple Cottage could use some sprucing up!
We were just fine with what was offered but if you are expecting the standards of home, you will be disappointed. Princesses would not be happy. There were some easy fixes that probably should have been done but the place is for sale. We were not in SW for comfort, we were there to enjoy our wonderful Bahamian friends, the kindness of the people and the beautiful surroundings.

This house is a tear down.... I do not recommend this property, the bath tub is from the 40's painted many times, looked awful the shower head was clogged up, we were forced to shower outside.when my daughter showered up stairs it leeked through the kitchen ceiling. I sent an email to the owner on day 2 of our 4 day stay...to date 1wk later still no reply! Very Poor
I apologize for your experience with the cottage. If an email was received it was responded to. We’ve had one reported issue with the shower to date and it was corrected immediately by our property manager.
Just what we needed!
This place is laid back. Cozy and clean. The indoor shower sucks but, the outside shower is freaking awesome! My twin 3 year olds absolutely loved our stay. Cant wait to go back.
Its a cute place, the oldest house on the island I was told. A little quirky in need of some maintenance/updating, one of the chairs was broken in the middle of cushion. The owners probably need to stay in it once in awhile to see what it needs.
You can barely see part of the ocean a few blocks away if you are on the porch, so is not on the beach. But it was a good price and worked for us.
We enjoyed our stay at Pineapple Cottage. The location is great....easy walk down the street to the beach. Everything was clean, and the owners and caretakers were very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions and needs. The cottage is not fancy, but provides what one would need for a stay. The one thing I would suggest is a bathroom upgrade. We took most of our showers in the outdoor shower because it is better than the tub/shower in the house. Other than that, we were comfortable and pleased with our stay.
Spanish Wells is a small island town off the coast of Eleuthera. The population is made up of white Bahamians who make their living from the sea. The town is neat and clean, with most houses sporting a fresh coat of pastel paint (reminding one of Bermuda). There is a barrier reef called the Devil's backbone which offers some of the best snorkeling and fishing in the world. Swimming, boating, snorkeling, fishing are just a few of the activities. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation on a non-tourist island, there is nothing like Spanish Wells in all the Bahamas today.
