It was a great short-term place while looking to buy
My wife wanted to stay and checkout the facilities that Laguna Woods has to offer because she wants to live there if I die first. Most likely that I'll die first because she drives me nuts. Therefore, I hope she finds a place buy that she likes so I can have more of my own time.
We visited in 2021 but because my wife was 54 at the time, she couldn't short term lease for 3 months since it's 55+ community. She wanted to tryout but that means that I have sign the lease and she as a spouse. But I didn't want to sign a lease or live even short term in old people community. Therefore, we booked Art's place in October 2022 and my wife live there from November to February as a resident. We visited Art's place prior to booking since we were stay in nearby hotel while my wife was going to open houses. And we really like the place. (see below)
I only stay with her first week that she was there and middle of her 3 months stay and the last week before she left. Therefore, she gave me input about her stay. We like Art's place because there were no carpet flooring. We don't wear shoes in the house so it was great to have non-carpet flooring. She like the location, sliding doors and windows facing South where the sun shines through from sunrise to sunset. And she would like to buy similar unit if anything that's facing South comes up for sale. However, she didn't like one of the neighbors. He was loud, noisy and speak incoherently.
Otherwise, my wife's stay was great!
