Villa Mary is a private holiday villa in a traditional Mediterranean village named Pigi, inside the enormous olive grove area with offering sea view, swimming pool, 6 bedrooms and unique outdoor facilities such as gym, mini soccer field, basketball court, table tennis and children's playground. It is a perfect holiday destination for families with children or groups of friends!

It is located just 10 km away from the town of Rethymno. The nearest shops and mini markets are within a short walking distance, approximately 800 m away. In addition the distance to the nearest-awarded EU blue flag-beach is just 3 km away. We also own a traditional tavern just 40 m away from the villa where you can have lunch or breakfast with special prices if you are staying in our villa!

The villa is divided into 3 independent floors of a 260 sq. m total area, in a plot of 2,500 sq. m with 6 bedrooms and it can accommodate 12 people in beds.

Indoor layout

From the ground floor's main entrance we enter into an enormous area combining a dining area, a split-level living room area for 12 people with a fireplace, a fully equipped open plan kitchen and the main bathroom (WC/bathtub/Jacuzzi/bidet/washing machine).

On the ground floor you will find two bedrooms, one double-bedded bedroom which has a balcony facing the garden and the swimming pool and the other one with 2 single beds which has an en-suite small bathroom with WC and a balcony with garden view. Both bedrooms offer air-conditioning.

From the first floor's separated entrance we enter into a playroom area with Playstation4. Then you will find the second open plan kitchen with small dining area. From the kitchen area, there is an access into a spacious 100 sq. m veranda with wonderful sea and mountain views. It has an additional barbecue if you wish to dine on the veranda!

On the first floor you will also find 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and the other one with double-bedded and a separate bathroom (WC, bath). Both bedrooms have balconies which offer magnificent views and air-conditioning.

From the lower level’s separate entrance we enter a hall way to 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and the other one with 2 single beds. A bathroom with shower is also found on this floor. There is no air-conditioning on the lower level but the rooms are very cool as it is on the lower level and there are also fans.

Outdoor area

Spacious outdoor area and its unique facilities are the highlight of our villa. These facilities ensure that all of our guests can find a way to enjoy their day!

Our outdoor facilities include:

- A 95 sq.m swimming pool including a shallow part for young children.

- A fully equipped barbecue area with a wood oven.

- Safe playground for children

- Gym room

Great holiday

Visited the villa with my girlfriend and five other couples. Great holiday. Loved the villa, perfect for big groups, plenty of space for everyone inside and outside, and the basketball court, football pitch and pool are all pretty unique.

The owner Mr. Stelios is a great guy and very helpful. For €10/person he whips up a fantastic dinner - well worth the money.

Would highly recommend Villa Mary!

A Fabulous Week

Villa Mary lived up to expectations - especially the pool and 5 a side pitch, which kept the children entertained for hours. Stelios and Maria made us feel very welcome and their food was excellent.....so was their home made wine and raki!

Well placed for exploring the island (Chania and Heraklion about an hour away) but equally good for staying in and chilling.

Arkadi Monastry is just 15 mins away and definitely worth a visit.

Overall excellent.

Wonderful place for a large family holidays

We have chosen this villa as a place for the extended family get together on the beautiful Crete island. The villa is quite nice, spacious and offers all facilities one would need to enjoy holidays, including a very nice and large swimming pool, sports facilities, barbecue place, entertainment, etc. Besides, the owners, Stelios and Maria, would fix for your company an excellent dinner at their little tavern in the adjacent garden per order, in addition to being very nice and pleasant people in general. The villa is cleaned every third day or so with turning down beds' linen and towels so an adequate hygiene is ensured. The villa is located in a quiet village some 3 km from nearest beaches so renting cars is recommended although there is a public buss stop right next to the villa. The car parking area of the villa is large enough for 3 mid-sized or 4 small cars, which is quite convenient for a large group of people having different ideas about visiting the places around the island. In general, villa is located close to Rethymno so many places of interest are not too far away. We would certainly recommend this villa to group holiday makers.

Our villa is located 3 km south from the coast between the villages of Pigi and Loutra. The location gives you the advantage of staying outside a quiet village and be close to the living areas and the beach at the same time! Platanias and Adelianos Kampos, which are only 4-5 km away, are well known tourist areas where you can find everything such as beach bars, clubs, restaurants, taverns, shops and supermarkets! Also, Rethymno city is 10 km away (about 10 min by car). If you would like to travel around Crete, we could give you advice for many places around the villa, according to your interests. Some sightseeing that you have to visit are: The historical monastery of Arkadi (7 km away), The ancient Eleftherna and the village of Margarites (16-18 km away) and many others that we will suggest to you when you arrive in our villa!

The owner owns a traditional taverna 40 meters away from the house, where you can have lunch and breakfast by pre-order in great prices as you are guests in our villa!
