About the property

Beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea

On the edge of the ramparts and a one minute walk from the village square this house boasts original character and charm. It has been furnished and decorated very tastefully in the Provencal style.

The house is ideal for anyone who wants to get away from it all, experience living in a historic French village, enjoy the countryside and the many rambling walks available here in the hills. It is also an ideal location for cyclists and is on one of the major routes frequented by professional cyclists.

The house is on 3 floors, with one bedroom and bathroom on the top floor looking out towards the sea.

The second bedroom ensuite is on the hall floor, also looking out towards the sea.

The kitchen and dining area are on the lower floor along with the lounge which opens out onto a south facing terrace, which gets the sun all day from 9.30 am to 7 pm in the summer, decked with sun loungers and an outside eating area.

Beneath the terrace is the laundry area.

There are many restaurants, cafes, 2 bakeries, grocery and specialty shops, pharmacy, artisan workshops and a market every Wednesday morning.

The bigger town of Vence is 3 km away.

Great hideway with the best view!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for the second time in this lovely house. It is in general a very cozy, private place, a well preserved and lovely restored old town house. It is ideally located at the brink of the mediaeval Tourrettes sur Loup. Everything like the village square with restaurants, cafes, shops etc. is in walking distance, yet quite calm in the evenings. One of the best activities for an evening in Tourrettes sur Loup is to just stay at the terrace of the property, make use of the barbecue and enjoy the view.

The view is stunning, as one can overlook parts of the town, the foothills of the Maritime Alps and the Mediterranean Cost. On clear days one can spot landmarks of the Cape de Antibes with the yachts in front of it.

The description of the facilities was quite accurately described and the property is clean and generally very well maintained. The water boiler in the kitchen needs to be replaced though.

What one may not understand from the description: There is a second (smaller) terrace (and a rather wild garden), which adds some additional options for privacy when renting this house with friends.

Only drawback: We sometimes missed a pool, but then the sea is only 30-40 minutes driving away.

I would clearly recommend this property to anyone who loves staying in historical French buildings and wants to enjoy a quieter part of the Côte d’Azur.

Excellent home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely home just outside the picturesque walled village of Tourette sur Loup. There are three levels to this home which is perched on the hillside with an amazing view of the valley and the coast from the lovely sundrenched patio. French doors lead into the living room and kitchen. There are two dining areas, one in the kitchen and one on the pario. The upper levels provide a bedroom and bathroom on each floor so this home is perfect for two couple or a family of four. The location of the village is perfect for day teipw to the coast or to explore other hill towns and villages. We also did a daytrip from here to the Vedon Gorge. While in France we stayed in other similar accomodtions but this was by far our favorite.

A wonderful holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We know this village very well..and this little house is perfectly placed, just outside the walled part of the village(which can be awkward for carrying shopping,or a little uneven to walk around)

We stayed for a month in the height of the season and even at that time the village feels like a perfect hideaway. Not too far from the coast, with views down to the sea and a perfect covered terrace to sit out on and read or sun bathe. Easy access to Antibes and Nice and other local places, Vence is just 10 minutes drive away. Well equipped ,clean and great customer service,...we will be back next year.

Wonderful house in Tourrettes-sur-Loup

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four (2 adults + 2 children 8 and 5) had a wonderful week in this typically french town house. This year we thought it would be fun to be in a village rather than a villa and we weren't disappointed. Tourrettes-sur-Loup is lovely, with just the right level of facilities for a week in terms of restaurants, sights and shopping. The house is as described in the listing, but probably exceeded our expectations in terms of style and convenience. Clean and well furnished we had no complaints about the facilities and the terrace was a wonderful outside space to eat meals and read books throughout the day. The one problem we had with the Wifi not working was swiftly fixed with no fuss or inconvenience to our holiday which is a credit to the local management of the property. The highlight of our week was a day out at the Oceanarium in Monaco, super for adults and kids alike. We are already considering returning to this property and would recommend it for families.

Stunning! Perfect for exploring Cote D'Azur

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week and wish it were a month. The house is beautiful with stunning views, it was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. Its situation is perfect for exploring the Cote D'Azur and the countryside of Provence. There was too much to do so we will need to visit again. Tourettes Sur Loup is the perfect French Village with fabulous restaurants, a vibrant Wednesday market and quaint ancient buildings. This property is right on the edge of the village you can pop into the butcher / bakery / fresh grocer and have meals on the verandah overlooking the valley or stroll to one of the many top quality restaurants. We will be back. I can highly recommend it for perfect location 25 min from Nice airport and then once you are there you are in the most tranquil beautiful location.

Car: recommended

Tourrettes sur Loup is a charming medieval village, with cobbled streets and a talented artisan community. There are art galleries and gift shops, bakeries, grocers and local markets too. There are numerous restaurants to choose from, some specialising in haute cuisine and others favouring the well known Plat du Jour and the traditional French cooking. Enjoy your cup of coffee or sun downer around the town square and watch the locals play boules. Spectacular panoramic views can be seen from the village, of the sea, mountains and the far Esterel. And maybe on a very clear day, you might even get a glimpse of Corsica. Tourrettes sur Loup is ideally located too, if you fancy visiting some beautiful spots along the Cote D'Azur. there are perfume factories in Grasse, stars in Cannes and St Tropez, artists in St Paul de Vence. Italy 45 minutes drive away, mega yachts in Antibes, and then of course the sunny beaches and the old town of Nice, which is a must. If you like cycling, walking or rambling, Tourrettes sur Loup is perfectly located, as these activities are all on your doorstep. The cycle race Paris-Nice, passes through the village.
