Tucked next to the Ottawa National Forest is our little Earth home - welcome to our Upper Peninsula vacation rental haven! There's water and nature in every direction, so point your adventure compass and GO. Our home is surrounded by Hagerman Lake and Brule Lakes and the Brule River. Have people in your group who like to golf? There are two nature-riddled golf courses to play. Maybe you'll simply relax in the quiet woods.
Inside is a Great Room with a decorative wood stove fireplace. Our spacious Upper Peninsula Earth Home is open concept living - the Great Room is open to the kitchen. No matter where your are inside, you’ll see a peaceful forest setting out every window. There are 2 bathrooms (one with a separate shower and Jacuzzi).
Sleeping arrangement: There are 2 large bedrooms on the main floor. The third bedroom is up in the lookout (perfect and fun for the kids).
Our UP cabin rental is an energy efficient semi-earth home. Find lots of storage room throughout the House for year round gear like snowmobiling clothes. The front entry is oversized too. You have all the amenities to create a retreat for any season!
Spend your days skiing (Ski Brule), snowmobiling (over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails), hunting (Iron County is one of the U.P.'s most popular hot spots for white tail deer hunting), fishing lakes and rivers, hiking (the Apple Blossom Hiking Trail runs along the banks of the Iron River), or biking.
Bring your boat! We have plenty of parking and safe storage for trailers and boats. Fishermen will love fishing the 5 Upper Peninsula lakes nearby: Hagerman Lake, Brule Lake, Lake Ottawa, & Stanley Lake. Ask us about Brule River canoeing. Since you book directly with us, we can make sure everyone in your group lives like a Yooper! Like rodeos? The annual Upper Peninsula Championship Rodeo is in July. Speaking of animals, if you are around in February make sure you stop by the IronLine Sled Dog race. Such a unique opportunity you don't get to see unless you are in the great Northern Woods! --fun fact, this home has housed sled dog teams and the founders of that race!
Take a breathtaking drive from the cabin to downtown Iron River, Michigan - watch for the historic buildings. The Iron River flows through the city and is a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream so bring the tackle and hip-boots or waders. The Iron County Historical Museum is downtown.
