Panos House is ideal for couples, families, large groups or for those who are looking for a villa with a private swimming pool.

Located at the center of the island only a few minutes drive away from the beautiful little fishing harbour of Loggos, with it’s picturesque waterside tavernas & cafes, the villa is also very close to some of the finest beaches of the island (Kipos, Kipiadi, Marmari).

Built in traditional Paxiot style the villa perfectly blends into its beautiful surroundings, among the olive trees and the peace and quiet of an unspoilt nature.

Externally the pool area spreads out in front of the villa, with spacious terracing, outside dining and lounge ideal for sunbathing with plentiful natural shade to escape the midday sun and relaxing by the swimming pool.

A stylish marble table can accommodate outside up to 10 people for lunches and great evening dinners and barbecues.

The living areas lead out onto the terrace and pool including the three bedrooms, two doubles (one with en-suite bathroom) and one twin bedroom. All three bedrooms have Air Conditioning.

There is an extra 4th smaller bedroom available on request (with en-suite bathroom), ideal for kids or youngsters with bunk beds.

The open plan living/dining room and well equipped kitchen complete the property with its high ceiling that give the house an airy, spacious and cool feel.

Finally Panos House has one surprise : the sea views watching over the eastern coastline towards the Greek mainland with the imposing Epiros mountains in the distance.

About Luca & Christine-Aurore

I came to Paxos for the first time in 1978, with my parents for a holiday, I was 8 at the time. My parents fell in love with the island and decided to buy and restore an old house. Ever since 1978 I’ve been coming to Paxos every year, for unforgettable holidays, first as a young kid, then as a single adult, and eventually as a young married couple with my wife Christine-Aurore.

The beauty of Paxos is that despite the years have gone by, it has not lost its authentic spirit and sheer natural beauty, maintaining its position of best kept secret island of the Mediterranean.

As our family grew with the arrival of our 3 daughters, Christine-Aurore and I decided to buy a house that would not only be the summer house of our family, but also the centre of gravity were we could invite our best friends and loved ones to spend amazing holidays together on this beautiful island. And so in 2008 we decided to buy Panos House.

We hope you will enjoy our house as much as we love it : for its comfort and authenticity, its beautiful scenery, its welcoming pool or for the privacy and quietness among the olive trees whilst being only few minutes away from the picturesque little fishing harbour of Loggos with its typical tavernas and cafés.

What we love about our house is that all the bedrooms and lounge area are overlooking the swimming pool; waking up in the morning, opening the door-windows and jumping straight into the water is simply priceless!

And the marble table by the pool for long morning breakfasts or evening barbecues watching the Milky Way and the incredible spectacle of millions of stars is what life should always be about, right ?!

Lovely house with great pool on a beautiful island

Panos House is very spacious with well equipped bedrooms and great living areas both outside and in. The pool is well looked after with a man coming to keep it clean as does a maid to water the garden and check everything is clean.

Paxos is a beautiful island with a good choices of beaches and restaurants as well as a couple of sunset bars.

I would thoroughly recommend Panos House.

Simple house, nicely located in olive grove

Panos house is located in an olive grove below a small road (dead-end for vehicles) in the hamlet of Zernatika. The main house has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The two other bedrooms are only accessible from the terrace. In our view, its best features are the dinner/lounging area under a big olive tree (illuminated in the evening – we had nice dinners there), the well-maintained pool and the living room with its beautiful lime-stone wall. The view from the terrace is – by Paxos standards – not spectacular, but nice. The presence of (rather slow) mobile Wifi (to be paid separately in Gaios) and a dishwasher was a nice surprise, but in other respects we found that the facilities and services offered – given the price of the villa – leave room for improvement. As indicated by a previous reviewer the kitchen is simple (e.g., the “coffee maker” mentioned on the website is a percolator) and offers very little room for your groceries. The bathroom (we got access to only one) is the typical Greek bathroom with shower-without-curtain corner and items like an ironing board, hair dryer, safe and wash tub are absent (so we did our laundry in the sink). Also absent were beach towels - although promised on the website at the time of booking - and the rather common and convenient “extra’s” in Greek holiday villas of this price range (we visited 18) like free dishwasher tablets, hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen and toilet paper. If you (like all previous reviewers) have no problem in accepting these little inconveniences you can have a pleasant time in Panos house. Do not forget to visit the nearby church and churchyard of Zernatika and the surprising Ipapanti church with beautiful bell tower on the nearby west coast.

Owner's Response: We thank you for your comments regards the property & are glad you had a nice stay despite a few minor issues/queries which we are sorry for. Our house manager couldn't have spoken more highly of you & your wife. The property has an Italian style cafetiere/perculator as opposed to an electric coffee maker, we are Belgian/Italian so that reflects the use of a cafetiere instead of an electric American filter coffee style machine. Due to the village location we are unable to have a land line, so we have tried to assist clients' 21st century needs and installed a pay as you go wifi dongle which up until now has appeared adequate, we're sorry if it didn't meet your expectations but in the absence of an available land line its the next best thing we can do. The property does have an ironing board & wash tub but it transpires that they were locked in the additional annexe which you didn't rent as there were only 2 of you so we are very sorry for this oversight & we have reviewed this with the housekeeper & she has moved it into the main house. We could have rectified this for you immediately had you mentioned it our house manager who I believe you spoke to on arrival regards the beach towel query, which we have now updated on the Home Away advert (no beach towels at the property, but they can be bought very reasonably in any of the villages) We have also noted & totally agree with your comments about dishwasher tablets, toilet & kitchen roll for the duration of the stay & again have reviewed this with our housekeeper. Thank you for your constructive feedback & we hope to see you in Paxos again soon

Peaceful haven.

Panos House is the perfect holiday let if you want peace and quiet. The absolute silence we experienced in May was wonderful and just what we needed.

The living room is spacious and comfortable, the bedrooms light and have enough space for holiday clothing, the kitchen is adequate. We were surprised there was no 'welcome pack' as this is the norm with holiday lets these days. However the pool and outdoor space is lovely with shade and sunny spots for all. There were 4 of us on this holiday and the villa felt spacious. I don't know how it feel for 8 people.

You definitely need a car for this property unless you are avid walkers . The bars, restaurants and shops of Logos are nearby and the shops deliver food purchases free of charge.

All In all we had a brilliant week at Panos House, and would return for another relaxing week.

Super holiday home in peaceful surroundings

Lovely 2 weeks in this comfortable home. Main house has 2 bedrooms and good bathroom with open plan living /kitchen and there are 2 further en suite bedrooms with individual entrance doors from pool area. Blissful much needed air con in bedrooms. We ate out or bbq'd - kitchen might be updated if you wanted to cook more inside but this wasn't a concern for us. Lovely views from terrace and the seating area was fabulous for daytime shade and evening gathering. Stuart, the manager, was terrific and there to help with anything and cleaning/bed changing arranged to suit us as we had visitors arriving at different times. House situated up a quiet lane off main road so beautifully quiet and peaceful in the olive groves. We could walk to lovely Kipiadi beach in 25 mins (bit longer on return!). Pratigos taverna at the bottom of the lane had fantastic food and views, Loggos longer walk or easy drive. Wonderful family and friends holiday.

Peaceful Retreat

We spent 10 days in Panos house, comfortable house in lovely setting with sea views. Plenty of outside space for a family to sit with a large table for relaxed breakfasts. Lots of choice for eating out including Pratagos taverna only short walk from the house with a terrace overlooking the sea. Loggos is really charming with harbour side restaurants, exploring Lakka and Gaios were within easy reach by car. Boats for hire in Loggos for days out to remote beaches with picnics and Anti Paxos were excellant value. Stuart was more than helpful with our booking and useful info. Everyone we met was charming and welcoming and has made us want to return asap!

Beautiful villa, stunning views & friendly owners

The holiday from start to finish went very smoothly. Our boat tickets were booked prior to arrival for a small fee and a taxi arranged to collect us from Gaios harbour. The villa was in a beautiful setting above Loggos harbour with beautiful views from the terrace across the pool to the olive trees and sea beyond. Due to the time of year we were graced with many dancing fire flys bobbing though the garden which was very memorable. The pool was lovely and there was plenty of loungers and chairs for all. The villa was well equipped with plenty of glasses, dishwasher tablets etc and was nicely decorated throughout. The walk down to Loggos took us about half an hour tops at a slow pace. There is a lovely taverna with again beautiful views a 5 minute walk away. The day time island bus that takes you to lakka and Gaios, also ran by the taverna a few times a day. We had a lovely time and would visit again without a doubt.
