London on your doorstep: there is no end to the things you can do and see in London. Whatever your purpose for staying in this wonderful city whether for an extended holiday, study or work this apartment can certainly fit your needs.
We stayed a month in this convenient London flat and were very happy with our stay. The apartment looks exactly as shown in the photographs, and has fast internet, a clothes washer, a well equipped kitchen, and a great soaking tub. My husband and I loved the separation of the bedroom down the hall from the living area, so that if our bedtimes were different, we didn't disturb the person who went to bed earlier. The apartment is just a few blocks from the Finsbury Park tube station, which has the Victoria and Piccadilly lines to take you anywhere in the city. It is close to bus stops too. We purchased an Oyster card and used the tube almost daily because of its convenience. When we arrived, Patricia was waiting for us, and took the time to show us how all the appliances worked, answer our questions, and give us the keys. We loved the fact that there was free long distance calling to America on the land line. We were able to get in contact with our friends and family, and take care of some business too. All in all, a wonderful stay, in a very clean and welcoming apartment. We hope to return some day soon!
My husband and I have just spent a wonderful month in this lovely London apartment. It was a perfect base for travelling around London and a cosy and comfortable home to come back to after our days out in the city. It really is well connected by public transport and we also enjoyed discovering the local area. There are some really good restaurants in the neighbourhood. When we arrived Delia greeted us warmly and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with kitchenware and appliances and everything was provided, from cleaning products down to little extras like freezer bags and batteries. Everything was spotlessly clean and the antique furniture gives you a real feel of an English home and not the usual bland rental accommodation. There's a lovely view of the street and church from the living room and the bedroom is tucked away at the back of the apartment. The bed is really comfy, but just a standard English double, which is slightly smaller than we are used to back home. I highly recommend this
apartment to anyone wanting to stay in London and we plan to spend another 5 weeks there at the end of next year.
Beautiful flat and very comfortable with everything you need. Close to supermarkets, cafes, shops and public transport. very clean and ideal place to stay in London. So much better than a hotel. Very helpful owner, highly recommend this to any traveller.
This apartment is located in Stroud Green, a popular, multi-cultural area in the borough of Islington, North London. It offers something for everyone: theatre, fantastic restaurants, street cafes, patisseries, boutiques, specialised grocery shops, arts and crafts, traditional pubs and the beautiful Finsbury Park with its boating lake....all just a short walk away from the apartment in its quiet, tree-lined residential road.
Another important consideration is that the cost of living is more affordable than the more touristy areas of London.
One of the key features of this area is its fantastic transport links. Finsbury Park Station is an important hub offering dozens of bus lines, 2 Underground lines (Victoria and Piccadilly) and several overground railway services.
It only takes 10 minutes on the Underground to reach Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and all areas of central London. If you want to get out of the city, just take a direct train to Cambridge, Windsor and Oxford.
