About Barry & Roberta Finkelstein

We have been coming to the Vineyard for decades and have loved it in every season. We have family on the Island, and as their families and ours expanded we decided we needed our own home.

Barry & Roberta Finkelstein purchased this house in 1998

Why Barry & Roberta Finkelstein chose Vineyard Haven

We loved the fact that it is on a quiet street with lots of trees. It is close enough to walk into town but far enough to be a true retreat. There is lots of natural light, and the open floor plan upstairs makes it family friendly and great for entertaining.

What makes this house unique

Because we spend so much time here ourselves we keep the home in great condition. It is well maintained, frequently updated, and furnished for comfort. We've done lots of work over the years: fresh paint and new colors inside, new windows and window treatments, mattresses, upgraded bathroom, kitchen, skylights, and upstairs floors.

As you can see from our photo we love animals and wanted to make this property pet friendly for our renters as well

This is my second year renting and everything was just the same - perfect!. The owner does such a great job maintaining the home and you would never know that pets are allowed. Thanks so much for sharing your home with me again. See you next year:).

Great house with wonderful amenities. New upgrades in all the rooms.

  • 5 of 5

Easy access walking or driving to town. Plenty of parking space . Full kitchen provided easy meal prep on those days we did not eat out. Plus washer and dryer meant we only brought 1 suitcase. Wi-Fi access a plus as well. Wrap around porch some screened in was great way to eat and watch the birds including the wild turkeys. Highly recommend Blue Hollow

Location, amenities and comfort make Blue Hollow a lovely place to stay on the Vineyard.

  • 5 of 5

I think we may have been the first arrivals of the Spring season. In fact the weather was still closer to Wintery. All the windows on the top floor living space of this “upside down” house really help make the days brighter. I’m from Martha’s Vineyard, and enjoy the quite of the off-season. I recommend a walk down to Tashmoo, a movie at the MV Film Society, coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Mocha Mott’s and dinner at Copper Wok- all within walking distance. The house was perfectly outfitted with all the comforts of home, which helped make our vacation cozy and relaxed. We even used the grill a few days! Our family very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you Roberta and Barry.

Relaxing homebase for your MV vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our second stay at Blue Hollow this July - I think we take for granted how comfortable it an extension of home: spacious, clean, well-stocked, relaxing! We found it to be exactly as advertised and previously reviewed. I would add that the huge, second floor deck was great for our dog, and he was very happy hanging out in the large screened-in section when we would go out for the day - shady and quiet. The home is quiet and quite secluded, with friendly neighbors on the street. Barry & Roberta are very easy to work with, and Rob helped us out in a flash (and with great Obama stories) when we thought we ran out of gas for the grill! In all, a great base off the beaten path for your island adventures, walking distance to downtown Vineyard Haven...
