Booked Sandpiper as a late deal, found it no problems, once inside we found the accommodation to be comfortable and everything it said on the write up. It was clean and we'll presented, although could do with some modernisation.
This was our 2nd stay in this lovely property which is in a nice area and close to everything we needed and a good base to travel to other areas. The welcome tray was much appreciated again. We were disappointed that the red leather settle still hasn't been changed it was most uncomfortable. the other settee is was but this year it and the cushions smelt a little musty so need freshening up. The bush at the front had been cut down so it was easier to get onto the drive. If someone had a larger vehicle than ours though they would have difficulties due to the width of the drive. The rotary dryer is still in the same place so you can only use part of it. A towel rail put onto the end of the kitchen unit near the back door would be useful as would one to put over the radiator in the bathroom, both cheap to do.
We agree with one reviewer that you do wonder if anyone can see your sillouette when you are in the shower!
We would stay again but please please change that settee
A lovely, relaxing stay at Sandpiper, a real home from home. Lovely quiet location with easy car access to all local areas. A few shops just down the road, although if walking you do have a hill on the route back! Nice, safely enclosed garden for our dog to sunbathe in!! Very spacious twin bedded room and good sized dining room. The drive is a bit tight for a big car like ours so a little extra care was needed when parking!! Only slight little niggle was the fact that we would have liked a shower curtain up by the bathroom window - a sight for sore eyes for the neighbours otherwise perhaps!! All in all a lovely bungalow and would definitely stay again.
A little distance from main areas and bus service poor if needed. . Local shops conveniently sited and some pleasant walking available. Overall better than antisiipated and reasonable value, at least out of season. Have stayed witth agents many times and have always received excellent service.
Next Easter will be our fifth holiday at Sandpiper; this speaks for itself! The accomodation is dog friendly with a very safe and, secure garden.
. The area is quiet with a parade of shops, within walking distance, covering virtually all requirements. Paignton is j
just down the hill. Torquay, Dawlish, Brixham and a myriad of other beautiful places are within reach. You have the added advantage of knowing you are returning to a comfortable welcoming home. Sandpiper is well furnished and equipped throughout. If Sandpiper came on to the property market we would be the first to make an offer! Says it all! Keith, Helen and The Collies.
We spent a lovely few days in the Sandpiper (Feb 2016). Ideal location, close enough to Paington to walk, if you don't mind hills. A really lovely bungalow. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely book again.
