Charming holiday apartment for 4 guests located in Gràcia district, One of the most desirable neighborhoods of Barcelona. The flat is comfortable and original. The floors are of Catalan ceramic tiles, and the wooden beams are visible. It houses up to five people, in two bedrooms (one with double bed and the other with bunk bed), and a sofa-bed in the living room. Internet connection, Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, air conditioning, and washer are some of the amenities that will make your stay more comfortable. In the bathroom, with shower, towels are provided.
The apartment has insulation crystals for the rest of our guests.
The neighborhood
It is located in Gracia, originally a town separated from Barcelona. Today, it unites old charm with modern city comfort. It is one of Barcelona’s most alternative and avant-garde neighborhoods, with a rich cultural life. In its narrow streets and lively squares, you can enjoy the most exotic dishes. Gràcia attracts artists, designers and young bohemians that prefer the cafés of this quaint area to the touristy city center.
Every year, during the festivities of the Fiesta Mayor de Gracia, you will be able to join the thousands of people that invade the streets, stroll, listen to live music and dance. This flat is located near the Plaza de la Vila de Gràcia (also known as Plaza Rius i Taulet), with Gracia’s city council and its clock tower. During the festivities, the square fills with live music, Castellers (human towers) and dancers.

Great location, cozy flat, helpful staff

The flat was easy to find and we were met by M, who helped us get in, oriented us to the amenities, and gave great recommendations for dinner and a grocery around the corner. We made our own breakfast in the flat. The refrigerator is small, but was plenty big enough for 2 for our needs. All the basic kitchen utensils were available. The bathroom is quite small by American standards, but includes a shower (hard to tell from listing) with plenty of hot water. We did not use the washing machine - so I’m not sure if it really has a drying function. The manual is in the flat. There are French doors that open from the bedroom and a large window that opens in the main living space. The flat over looks an alley with a small courtyard at one end and an intersection at the other. It is a very nice neighborhood - Gracia — and I recommend it. The Spanish are night owls and there are voices outside at night. There area couple small bars along the alley. The windows shut it out well enough for me to sleep, but if you are a light sleeper, you may play music or white noise. There is a bar/restaurant at the end of the alley, the hop on- hop off bus for touring is within walking distance. We ate at some fabulous restaurants close by - Nomo (sushi) and my husband’s favorite Restaurante Pau Claris 190. If I needed anything, even a recommendation for where to watch a Barca match, I messaged M and she was quick to reply. It is on the 3rd floor (second, by euro names), no elevator.

A week in Gracia

This apartment was a great location for my walking days, or for visiting farther neighborhoods using the Metro. The apartment is in a neighborhood of apartments with a gelato shop right on the corner. There are multiple bakeries and good shopping closeby. The main bedroom bed is so comfortable. It's nice to have the full kitchen. The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was a good value and made my visit to Barcelona so fun.
