|Minimum Stay||3 - 4 nights|
This unit is less than a 3 minute walk from the River Run gondola and village.
This first floor condo sleeps 4, has a queen bed in the bedroom, a very comfortable full size pullout in the Living Room . While it's just a few minute walk from the village, the location is very cozy and peaceful. Red Hawk Lodge is one of the newer complexes in River Run and is very popular for guests who want to be close to it all, yet still wish to enjoy some stress-free peace in tranquility. When you are not enjoying the great outdoors, there is a large game room in the lobby with a pool table, board games and comfortable seating in front of the large gas fireplace. You can also enjoy the heated swimming pool year-round, and the 2 hot tubs that look out to ski runs. There is also a workout room, steam room, and ski lockers on the first floor. Coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor. Best of all, this complex has free heated underground parking which makes all the difference in the world. In the winter, you can leave your boots in the car and they won't freeze!
River Run village is loaded with shops and restaurants - it's a village of it's own and has great nightlife, shopping and dining just steps away from the complex. It's just across the parking lot, so while you are enjoying the convenience of all the amenities within a short walking distance, you are still in a quiet part of the village. Also remember that Keystone is the only ski resort in Summit County that offers night skiing!
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: Queen bed in the bedroom with a TV/DVD. Queen sofa sleeper in front of the gas fireplace in Living room.
FLOOR PLAN: There is a fully stocked kitchen with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher. All the pots/pans, dishes, glasses and silverware are provided. Enjoy a movie or read a book in front of the gas fireplace. This condo has free high speed Internet/wifi. There is a small ground floor deck off the living room that has views of the mountains, gondola and ski runs. The bathroom (tub/shower) is just off the kitchen.
KEYSTONE ACTIVITIES: River Run Village is the center of all the activities that Keystone has to offer. There are many excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops, as well as many shopping options. In addition to night skiing, Keystone has the Adventure Park, at the top of the Gondola that offers three steep tubing hills. Located by the Mountain House at Keystone, there is the largest outdoor skating rink on a frozen pond with a beautiful Christmas tree in the center, surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Chicago based, born and raised. Work in the financial industry - you know, work hard, play hard! Cubs fan, marathon runner, skier, very family oriented. I love to travel and most importantly enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Welcome to my beautiful home!
Michelle Pietras purchased this condo in 2006
Never skiied a day in my life til the late 90's - came to Colorado from Chicago to visit a friend, and fell in love with Summit County! After a few years of frequent travels to and from the mountains, I realized the next logical step would be to get my own place and rent it out when I wasn't going to be using it myself. After looking at several units in Keystone, where I first learned to ski, I came to this unit and it instantly felt like home! 9+ years going strong and I still feel the same. So, welcome to my beautiful home.. in a perfect place.
I had no idea how much I would really come to enjoy this condo. I love how convenient it is to everything, especially the gondola and the village! Not only is winter the best time to be here, I hadn't realized how much there was to do in the summer months, e.g., hiking, white water rafting, festivals, taking a ride on the gondola, mountain biking (my new summer passion), boating, fishing, swimming (love that pool!) and so much more. The summer festivals are so enjoyable - great for families and friends, or just for yourself to get away and relax..
I highly recommend this 1 bedroom condo. It is in such an ideal location for skiing, mountain biking, running, hiking, or road biking. This is the 2nd time I stayed here and I absolutely loved it here. The first time I stayed was for a romantic getaway. There is so much to do in the area. The second time I stayed was to acclimate myself to the high elevation for a marathon in Leadville.
I am coming back for sure.
Hope this review helps your decision making.
Condo is in a great location. You are just a few hundred feet from the gondola and the Keystone Village. The condo has everything you need to enjoy a vacation on the mountain. Michelle is fantastic to work with.
We were so happy with the location of this condo. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the Gondola. We also enjoyed having a ski locker we could use so that we didn't have to carry the skis into the condo. The pool and hot tubs were also very nice. We spent part of an afternoon soaking in the hot tub while watching people ski down the mountain. The condo itself was nice but, as another reviewer mentioned, did not have much storage. For the two of us for a long weekend it was fine but I think it could get crowded if you wanted to have a 3rd person sleep on the sofa bed. Overall this condo is a great deal and we will definitely be back. One other thing to mention is that Michelle is amazing to work with.
This was the perfect place for just the two of us. Walk right to the Gondola from the condo and spend time at River Run Village after you're done on the slopes.
Michelle was terrific to work with when booking the condo! Nice quality furnishings, good bathroom and just great location.
This condo was less than a five minute walk to the gondola. River Run and the gondola were visible from the first floor patio and the outdoor heated pool and two spas were terrific for relaxing at the end of the day. An exercise and steam room were also available. The heated underground parking meant no cleaning off the car on those snowy mornings. Ski lockers were also available if needed.
Overall, the condo was well equipped and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our five night stay. The village is very nice and the shuttles that run through are convenient for traveling around if you don't feel like driving. We liked the Kickapoo Tavern for dinner and The Blue Moon Café for sandwiches. If traveling when The Swing Crew plays at the Last Lift Bar, I recommend that for happy hour from 3-7PM.
The one negative was that there could have been more storage at the condo. We were three adults each with a weeks worth of clothing and ski wear. Maybe if the owner puts a flat screen above the fireplace, a dresser can go were the current television stand is located. We worked around it and it was still a great place!
We were only about 75 yards to the slopes. Our balcony was right by the road and we were on the 1st floor. This gave us quick in and out access to the gondola. We did have to walk down the road and through a parking lot, so don't expect literal ski in/ski out. The pics were a good representation of the property. The bedroom was truly separated and private. The bathroom was big and roomy. I found the bed to be pretty comfy. If you feel you must have flat screen LCD, you won't get it, just old fashioned tvs. Cable was good. Needs a spatula and knives that can actually cut.
Great location. Near bike rental / ski rental shops and free buses to transport you within the Summit County area (Summit Stage Shuttle). Close to Lake Dillon for fishing / water sports.
