Earlshall House is an extraordinary large, four-bedroom, ALL en-suite. A truly stunning semi detached Victorian house located just a few minutes stroll from Fistral Beach and surrounding beaches in Newquay, Cornwall.

It offers spacious and modern accommodation for up to 8/10 people over 2 floors. With all bedrooms having en-suite, plus parking for several cars — Earlshall House is the ideal place for families or for friends getting together. To the rear of the house there is a large south facing garden with wonderful country views towards Crantock . Ideal for a summer BBQ and a chilled beer, and when the sun goes down you can wine and dine the night away at any one of a number of acclaimed restaurants including Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate bay, or the outstanding Lewinnick Lodge — with stunning views of the Atlantic coastline.

For a more informal dining experience Newquay boasts many cafés, restaurants and bars — all within walking distance.

With Newquay Golf Course only minutes away, the town beaches literally on your doorstep, this is the perfect choice for a golfing, surfing and beach holiday. And just a five-minute walk from the town centre, you couldn't be better positioned to explore whether in or out of the water.

There is one double en-suit bedroom on the ground floor. The other three bedrooms (all en-suit) are on the first floor.

Every bedroom has a hair drier.

Secure inside storage are for surf boards or bikes.

A huge private garden with mature flowers beds and shrubs, well kept lawns and very large patio area. The garden is South facing and therefore a sun trap on a nice day.

Why Geoff or Linda chose Newquay & St Austell area

The property is unique as it has a huge private garden. Four bedrooms which are all en-suit and with TV and hair-dryers in each bedroom.

Only a five minute walk to the beaches and Newquay town centre and parking for three / four cars.


An incredibly atmospheric house with plenty of character. The week is up (sob) but the memories will live on forever. We came as individuals but thanks to the beautiful house and fantastic town of Newquay, we left as a collective. Thank you for welcoming us into this world - we will never forget it. The location / size and the fact that each bedroom has it's own en-suit make this a unique property. The enclosed garden is huge and south facing making it a real suntrap on a nice day

Lovely huge house but a few problems.

Lovely large house with all large en-suite bathrooms. The house was very well equipped and had most things you need on holiday, however it could do with a barbeque in the garden for those nice summer months. The house is very well situated within walking distance of the town centre and the beach.

I have rated the holiday home as poor because we had a lot of problems with the hot water. The hot water is on a timer and is therefore only available certain times of the day, For instance the hot water turned off after 10am, so if you wanted a long lie in or a lazy day, you would need to ensure you were in the shower before 10am or you would have to wait for a couple of hours before you could get a shower. Also after arriving back at 4pm, from a day trip at the beach, everyone was desperate for a shower, as we were all covered in sand, especially our two young children, however because the water was on a timer we all had to wait for over 1 hour. We had to sit outside because we did not want to get the house dirty and full of sand. Another time my wife got caught in the shower when the hot water went off, Lets just say she was very cold and not happy. When I tried to phone the owner and try and fix the hot water I was told she was busy and we would have to wait.

The owner did come to the house but the timer was never changed and we all had to work our holiday around the hot water.

In summary it was a shame our holiday was spoiled by the hot water.

Owner's Response: I am surprised and disappointed you have rated the house as poor based purely on the basis that you could not adjust the hot water timer. Your words in the review say - quote "Lovely large house with all large en-suite bathrooms. The house was very well equipped and had most things you need on holiday"... To explain the water timer. Guests are welcome to adjust the timer to suit their needs. If not the owner lives across the road twenty metres away and is there all the time as she runs a small hotel there. If you had a problem, I would have been happy to help you with it. We are one minute from Earlshall. We received no call. The review system is supposed to offer a balanced view on the property being reviewed - this review in our opinion does not portray a balanced view.. it purely mentions one incident that does not class the house as poor. This does not help people by giving an informed view of the property... Earlshall is a large very well presented property that has been very successfully used as a holiday let for several years..
