This unique, fully air-conditioned farmhouse consists of a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen, dining and living room on ground floor level, as well as a shower room. A marble staircase leads to the first floor, which consists of a spacious master bedroom en suite with bathroom, a twin bedroom with a bathroom just opposite, and a triple bedroom with an en suite shower room.

The pool area includes a barbecue and space to relax. It overlooks the green Pergla valley and the clear sea of Ghajn Barrani Bay. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, we can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Pergola Farmhouses was founded in 1997 when Julian started renovating old farmhouses into holiday villas.

His wife, Doris, became the one responsible for bookings and the general running of the farmhouses, while Julian focused on renovating houses of character.

With over fifteen years of experience in farmhouse and villa rental acquired through relationships built with clients from all over the world, Julian and Doris are always here to help and to make your holiday as comfortable and memorable as ever.

The location of this property, as well as the farmhouse's aesthetic beauty of local stone cut hundreds of years ago, transports the visitor to a place of complete relaxation. It's seclusion is twinned with the possibility of returning to the hustle and bustle of town life in a scenic ten minute walk. Julian and Doris have called this island 'home' all their lives; buying this property was just a natural step in celebrating Gozo and its way of life with people from all around the world.

We stayed in Pergola 3 for the second year running and we have already booked it again for next year! It was fantastic, exceptionally clean and wonderful to see how much Doris and Julian had done in the year making excellent improvements (not that we thought there was much they could improve on!) taking note of everything that had been written in reviews about last year. Also the level of maintenance on all the villas you can see is very high as they truly care about maintaining all the villas to a very high standard. All new mattresses in a our villa this year were fantastic as I have two prolapsed discs so I can have issues. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Doris or Julian and they always respond very quickly to questions or issues you may have. On top of this we took great delight in Julian's weekly drop off of freshly grown tomatoes, figs, grapes and incredible chillies! We had an absolute blast there again and the cleaning ladies were fantastic too. A fantastically run business and we can't wait to see you all next year.

Well appointed for total relaxation

We arrived to sunshine and were stunned by the views and overall presentation of the Farmhouse, it catered for all of our needs. We were welcomed by the owners who had kindly got us some essentials in and arranged for a hire car (an essential). The rooms were cool by day and night, the pool was fantastic, in short a very well run and maintained accommodation. It is not very often you arrive somewhere and it exceeds expectations, but Pergola did.

The local villages offered a great choice and standard of local food and drink, the island generally is very easy to get around. We would (and hope to) return again soon.

Ix-Xaghra (pronounced: shara) is built on a hill to the central north-east of the island of Gozo. It lies just under four kilometres from Rabat, the town of the island, and is aptly described as the village of the goddess and the Madonna. Ix - Xaghra was one of the earliest inhabited areas of Gozo.

Xaghra enjoys very rich historical sites, undoubtedly the most famous are the Ggantija Temples. They date back to 3600 - 3200 B.C., which makes them older than the Pyramids of Egypt and the oldest known human structure in the world.

Apart from this, Xaghra also has a number of grottoes, such as Calypso Cave which plays a role in Greek mythology.

Our farmhouse is close to all amenities and lovely restaurants, bars and cafeterias situated in the village square as well as close to Gozo's main sandy beach.

The 'Stay tax' refers to a Government Environmental Contribution applicable from June 1, 2016. Rate is €0.50 per person per night for all aged over 18, up to a maximum of €5 per stay.
A/C is charged extra through a euro coin meter.

A 25% deposit via a bank transfer is required in order to secure the booking
Full settlement of the remaining balance is to be paid at the latest thirty (30) days before the day of arrival.
Cancellations are only accepted up to 30 days prior the day of arrival. After said date, a refund of the deposit is not possible.
VAT at 7% is included in the price.
